I had to come in due to being in labor at 34wks. I am truly blessed that my doctor delivers babies here because the care that these nurses provide is truly amazing. I had to go to triage & ended up having to get an emergency C-section due to my baby still being breech. I was truly scared never had a C-section before & have had previously bad experiences with epidural from another hospital. The two gentleman that did the anesthesia talked me & my husband thru everything & listened to my concerns and made me feel super comfortable with the surgery. They both stayed by my side thru the whole surgery making sure I was okay. All of my nurses that were there by my side thru the whole experience were truly a blessing. I remember having Lisa, Victoria, Arlene, Chelsea & there was a few others that I couldn’t remember their names but they provided the best care for me during my stay. The Nicu nurses there like Pam, Marisol, Brooke, Virginia & Jacintha have been truly amazing with taking care of my daughter, even Megan there as well. Lucy the director came in a few times to make sure that I had everything I needed during my stay & with out their amazing team I don’t think I would have been able to have done it. They provided & are still providing amazing care for both my daughter & I. Like I said I am truly blessed to have had my baby here although she is still in Nicu the Nicu nurses are going above and beyond to help my daughter be able to come home. She is getting stronger and stronger everyday. I just cannot thank their team enough for being such a blessing! I would recommend this hospital over any hospital here in San Antonio. We live literally in the other side of town but would make this drive even for an emergency. This hospital is such a blessing in disguise & I’m forever thankful 🥹
Go the extra mile to find a better urgent care their service is horrible they treat your symptoms like it's nothing then I literally explained to the trained "professional " every thing in detail was wrong with my son and he shrugged it off looked me dead in the face and asked me what was wrong all over again. They took 3 hours to get ma a prescription and treat it like whatever. Crew constantly distracting eachother, pharmacy was closed by the time i got my prescription i hope yall really consider your crew from 3-7
I was very disappointed with the ER. I always chose Methodist Hospitals when my mom was ill. I was really surprised when the Dr assessed me in the waiting room outside in front of other people/patients. as well as gave me my prognosis out in the waiting room as well in front of other people waiting. everyone could hear what my results were and I could hear what other people waiting to be seen issues were. there was no privacy whatsoever.
I was very disappointed with the Methodist Hospital system that I use to hold them in very high regard. I chose Methodist over Baptist Hospital ER and Santa Rosa Christus Hospital and was very very disappointed. Melinda Ugartechea
I got discharged recently after huge medical emergency where i was hospitalized for 3 days. I went here because it was the closest hospital under my insurance. All the ER staff handled me with the upmost care and professionalism. Nurses Jeanette, Kate, Nina, and technician Barsy were EXCEPTIONAL staff that nursed me back to health. Dr. Bambo was incredibly nice and supportive during the process and looked after me constantly. Also the cafeteria food was amazing ! You will be in good hands here!
On March 20, 2026 I visited Methodist ER room. In the sign outside it stated a 3 minute wait. When I arrived at the check in, I was taken in within 2 -3 minutes. I was given some forms to complete and the nurse took my blood pressure and temperature. It was so amazingly easy and fast. The doctor, Bryan M Dunn, MD approached me within minutes of being inside. He understood my concerns and based on my previous Non-Hodkins Lymphatic cancer diagnosis, the recent fall hitting my head and the current pain that I had been experiencing for over a month, and he suggested and ordered a CT Scan of my head. I was picked up within a few minutes and taken to have the CT Scan. After examining the results of the CT Scan, he came by and said he could see the scarring of the previous surgery, but that there was no blood or any sign of anything else. I was told they would prepare my discharge papers and then I could leave. I waited for the papers and when I went to ask about the copayment on my way out, I was informed that I wouId be billed. I pray never to have to go or take anyone to an ER again, but if I have to, I would definitely return to Methodist at Westover Hills. Their caring, excellent service, cleanliness and human interaction exceeded my expectations. I think I was there in total about an hour. God bless them!
If I could put 0 starts I would, but unfortunately that isn't possible. It has been a year post this situation and the consequences of their actions has still have an effect on my mother. One year ago , my mother was a stroke patient at this hospital, er department (night shift) was good and did the best they could , I CAN NOT say the same for the rest, aka day shift. The second minor stroke that turned big due to this hospital was during the day, day shift nurses were extremely unprofessional I wish I could remember the names but they truly deserve to lose their jobs. They were extremely unresponsive and clearly lacked the ability to treat an actual emergency, not just a "broken arm." The day shift ER doctor literally looked up the signs of a stroke, A STROKE. Then due to the fact that is was new years eve their radiology department was not responding and did not come to preform the MRI until the next day, THE NEXT DAY FOR A STROKE PATIENT. Due to not performing the MRI no blood thinners or medication was given causing the stroke to become worse. Getting admit, nurses were great up there tried to do the best they could with what was given to them, HOWEVER, this hospital has the worst hospitalist known to man kind. Extremely rude. Please if you have an actual emergency go to real hospital. The night shift doctors and nurses are great, however the day shift really need to be evaluated by HR. I want to give thanks to all night shift doctors and nurses, main nurses when you get admitted. However , day shift er nurses and doctors, hospitalist's , truly every other department needs to be evaluated.
yeah i don’t think this is how an emergency room should be operated. extremely long wait (so much for “emergency”), no privacy to speak with the doctors, everyone out in the open discussing everyone’s medical issues/treatment… uhm hippa?
i loved this location a year ago but not anymore. i don’t know who decided this whole renovation/setup was better.
The worst experience i was brought by ambulance because University Hospital was full ( thats my main Hospital) as I was coming in a ERnurse says to another nurse, " oh look another thc overdose" and laughed and shook her head.. I have lupus, Antiphospholipid syndrome AND a colostomy..another ER nurse knew NOTHING about colostomy bag NOTHING and didn't know how to change it or clean me. Then they gave me a a antibiotic i was allergic to. This place really needs to educate their staff on colostomies
