I had an excellent experience with Dr. Abhishek Sawant. From my very first appointment, he made me feel comfortable, listened carefully to all of my concerns, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I truly appreciated the time he took with me and never felt rushed during my visits. His knowledge, professionalism, and compassionate approach gave me great confidence in my care. The office staff was also friendly and efficient, which made the entire experience even better. As someone who works in cardiology myself, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this office. There were multiple situations that raised concerns about how patient care is prioritized.
The first red flag was being told I could not schedule multiple appointments/testing on the same day because “insurance wouldn’t pay for the second appointment.” That is simply inaccurate. Insurance companies may reimburse at a reduced rate for multiple same-day services, but they absolutely can still be billed. In the cardiology field, it is very common for patients to complete several tests and appointments in one visit for convenience and continuity of care. Refusing to accommodate this came across as more financially motivated than patient-centered.
My most recent experience was even more frustrating. I arrived for a scheduled heart monitor appointment after taking time off work and driving 45 minutes, only to be told I owed nearly $800 upfront because I had not met my deductible. While I fully understand how deductibles work and do not blame the office for my insurance plan, it would have been appropriate and professional to provide patients with advance notice of such a significant out-of-pocket expense before the appointment date.
When I asked whether I could make a partial payment or arrange a payment plan, I was told the only person who could approve that was a billing manager located out of state who was not available. After leaving a voicemail and receiving no response, I was essentially told my only option was to reschedule and leave without being seen.
Overall, the office felt inflexible, poorly coordinated, and far more focused on financial policies than patient accommodation or care. Working in healthcare myself, I understand the operational side of medicine, which is exactly why this experience was so disappointing.
I had an excellent experience at Lifetime Heart. Dr. Bahadur was very welcoming and took plenty of time to thoroughly explain everything in a way that was clear and easy to understand, even using graphs to help illustrate key points. His pleasant personality and warm smile made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the visit. The front office was exceptionally clean and inviting, and the staff was professional, organized, and clearly knew what they were doing. Overall, it was a very positive and reassuring experience. I would highly recommend this practice for your cardiac needs.
Front office staff was very kind and welcoming. The Medical Assistants were both friendly and professional. Lauren is great and has the ability to make patients feel very important and is very easy to talk to and professional in her explainations etc.
The staff was extremely helpful and enjoyable. I was checked in quickly and taken back for testing in a timely manner. The technician was very kind and helpful. He did an extremely thorough and professional job.
The front office personnel were fast and friendly. It helped that I filled out the paperwork online before I got to the appointment. The doctors assistant was very nice and she quick also. And the lady doing EKG had it done in a couple of minutes. The doctor was quick and polite like the whole staff.
What a pleasant surprise. I called for a first time appointment on Friday afternoon with Dr. Prakash Balan. I was so surprised when I got in the next week!
The people at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. I was only there a few minutes when my name was called. The nurse took me to the office where she efficiently took all my information, set up the EKG, took my blood pressure. She left and Dr. Balan came in within 5 minutes. He was very easy to talk to. I felt satisfied with the questions and care. I was in and out within 1 hour.
I had an amazing experience here! Drs and staff are so kind and amazing at their job I’m definitely going to continue going here! 😁 also the office is super clean which is always a plus!
