Everyone from the surgeons to the nurses and techs were wonderful during my stay! I will particularly miss the nursing staff on the 8th floor of the tower who took great care of me! The food service was delicious as well. Lastly, I'm thankful for the care, knowledge, and expertise provided by the orthopedic & plastics surgical teams. Thank you Dr. Metcalf MD, Dr. Blount MD, & Lina Gross FNP, for your professionalism and warm bedside manner. I am grateful to St.Joe's for everything, and feel very fortunate that we have such a great medical facility in downtown Phoenix!

Everyone at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center has been incredible. I have been receiving exceptional treatment and care from the medical team here for four days straight. Their professionalism and dedication to caring for patients needs here is amazing. The kitchen staff is exceptional as well. I have enjoyed the meals they offer and provide. I highly recommend Dignity Health St.Joseph’s Hospital. Everyone is wonderful.

I could write the longest detailed reason for the 1 star review but what really sealed the deal is the nurse’s terrible bedside manner but also the lack of concern for their patients in the ICU. My dad is a diabetic and they brought him a tray of sugary items. When I told the RN (who should have looked at his chart to look for allergies or medical conditions) she responded with “oh”. After the longest pause I asked if there were sugar free options that could be brought instead and she responded with a “yeah” and seemed super put out. Her demeanor was atrocious the whole time I was here. Zero compassion, didn’t greet my dad nor anyone in the room when entering, wasn’t telling my dad what she was doing just flinging wires around and taking vitals as he has a spoon of jello midway to his mouth. SUPER concerning if this is the type of care and communication amongst staff allowed in the ICU. There were other instances that prompted me to write this but this was the cherry on top.

This rating is not for the hospital, but a particular staff member that may not need to be the face that someone greets in an emergency. I didn't get her name because I was so flustered, but she was a night shift RN with a layered Bob and glasses. She was inside the bubble for triage. I'd gone outside to gather myself after being told that my mother was septic and upon returning the security officer that opened the doors for me told me to go to the window for a wristband. As I approached the window she stood up and said you need to get in line, at which point I said im not a patient I was just in the back and she literally yelled "I dont care, get in line"! As she flung her arms towards the line for visitors. There was no one in the line but I was stunned and said aren't hospitals in the "caring" business? Had I not been numb due to what my mother was going through, the thought of losing her and the sight of all the doctors, nurses and specialist surrounding her, things mightve gotten out of hand. Simple words like " I understand but you need to get in line" would suffice. There was a lady next to me checking in and she said that she had complained about this same lady and her attitude and that she was still there. Maybe she's a good nurse. I wouldn't want her fired but maybe she shouldn't be in the front where people aren't in their right minds and are depending on her compassion to help ease their fears. As a nurse myself for 23 years you leave your personal life and feelings at home....no worries, itll all be there when you return.

I had a tumor on my spinal cord and the doctors and nurses were so friendly so helpful. I was amazed my neck hurts a little but everything turned out good. They were on top of my pain medicine and they were always asking if I needed something I would recommend them to anybody to go there to have surgery.

After completing two surgical recoveries at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, I’ve been incredibly impressed with the care and professionalism of the entire team. Everyone, from doctors to nurses to support staff has been kind, attentive, and truly compassionate. Recovering from surgery isn’t easy, but they’ve made the experience so much more manageable. I still have more surgeries ahead this year, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing I’m in such good hands. Grateful for the exceptional care I’ve received.

Dr Kallingal did a terrible job with my daughter. She came in walking and is now been in the hospital for 6 weeks with her intestines and a ball. He devastated her life. He went on her mother's social media. That's myself. Found my GoFundMe for her and tried to sever our relationship by telling her that I had a GoFundMe, although she was aware of it and giving her all the money from it and didn't set it up without her permission. So she immediately told me what he did. He has been reported. His reputation is not justified. It's good for you other people that he helped you. I hope that he can help my daughter but truly I really would rather us find another urologist. He went to talk to my daughter for the first time after their last surgery. By the way, they've done four because I had spoken with his assistant. I believe her name is Christine and I said that I did not like what I was seeing and that I was very disturbed and it was terrifying for me as mother. The surgery came apart within 3 days completely. I was told that she has 50 holes in her intestine. You permanently is trying to blame it You're having ehlers-danloss syndrome. If that be the case, he should have refused to do the surgery. Therefore, he is still accountable! Pray for my daughter! She came in walking with a duffel bag and now she can hardly sit up. I am devastated and I fear for her life.. I've already spoken with the house manager of the hospital but his assistant still came in and they're still in charge of my daughter! This review is up because I fear that doctor. I'm genuinely afraid of him. He has done great harm to my daughter whether it was unintentional or not and he actually tried to sever our relationship! Please know I'm

Argued in detail of the meds I take. Nerve pain meds were given 12+hrs apart which dosnt keep me out of that pain..tried to explain multiple times with no change. I swear there must be a bonus if they can get me to take a walker. All they say is I should have one. And still they delivered one without agreeing. No wound care instructions just wever supplies in my room I can take. If I wasnt out of bed for 4days Im going to walk a little weak. I need to use my legs not be pushed in a rehab for help. Another bonus for that too? Changing n telling me nt to take certain meds that were not part of my reason to be there is ludicrous.
