The best ER care I've ever had! No wait, saw me immediately as I walked in. The front desk medical was very attentive and listened to my needs. The nurses were so nice and made sure I was comfortable. The doctor came in as soon as I got situated in my room and was very concerned and empathetic..I think it was Dr. R. Would highly recommend this HCA location. It was very clean too. Thank you HCA staff for taking such precaution and care.

RN Frank was awesome he made my visit very comfortable and enjoying. The overall staff was also amazing I was in and out so fast. I love the care and concern they show for their patients. Thank everyone there for their help.

I deleted my original review because it was written out of emotion and exhaustion after being awake at 3 a.m. with my full of energy 3-year-old son way past both of our bed times. Unfortunately, after reflecting on the experience, I still feel this facility handled the situation in an unprofessional manner. While I understood the staff’s concern regarding my son’s injury (which may have led to some of the unprofessional passive aggressive gossip) what disturbed me most was the passive-aggressive behavior and gossip that was loud enough for me to overhear by the same nurse mentioned to/with the other young lady that administered my son medicine. My toddler was later found to have a dislocated elbow caused when his older brother pulled his arm too hard while trying to stop him from grabbing his glasses in the car. I was driving. Despite the seriousness of the injury, no one asked follow-up questions, a detailed story, properly updated our information, or handled the situation with professionalism or compassion. What if CPS needed to be called? Or if abuse had taken place. How would this have been reported without updated information? The doctor initially appeared ready to discharge my son until I firmly requested an X-ray due to the fact that he was unable to move his arm saying that it’s unlikely to be anything more than “soreness”. Even though I mention taking him to two doctors previously and my son asking me to take him to the doctor because he was still in pain. If you know anything about a nursemaids elbow, once it’s fixed, the pain usually goes away within 24 hours. That alone should’ve raised his Suspicion enough to immediately issue an x-ray. He’s a doctor. After the X-ray confirmed the dislocation, I simply asked whether we could leave and receive a referral call for the orthopedic doctor. At this point it’s 3 AM and my son has asked to go home multiple times. He’s already in pain and now he’s tired. Instead I was met with a rude tone and comments implying refusal of treatment, which felt unnecessarily threatening as a mother. Overall, the lack of respectful communication, professionalism, and empathy during a stressful situation left me deeply uncomfortable. The judgmental behavior was unnecessary, unprofessional and pathetic. The curly hair AA nurse also came across as incompetent. At one point, I politely asked if someone could retrieve my keys from the trash, and the request was met with attitude, as if I was being difficult or “bougie,” when in reality I was simply asking for proper PPE and sanitary handling of my belongings. During an already stressful situation involving my injured child, the lack of professionalism, empathy, and respectful communication only added unnecessary frustration to the experience. The nurse’s ineptness was highly unprofessional and unethical, and her behavior came across as extremely unrefined. You all represent HCA. Get it together Including the snickering Doctor.

I was seen by “Dr” Freeborn Isaac cannot be called a doctor. I asked him a simple question about concerns regarding my DVT scan. He blew up at me started screaming and berating me. I said “why are you screaming, I did not scream at you I asked you nicely” He acted like Im the problem for asking and screamed “im done with you, Im done with you”. Also Shannon the nurse extremely unprofessional she saw me with a cane and she walks way ahead of me I did not even know which room she walked into. Usually I get great care here this was unacceptable. Dr did not even come in to talk to me at the end none of my concerns were addressed. He did not apologize or anything. Walking out I told him “you are extremely unprofessional it is a shame you call yourself a dr” unbelievable lack of care, lack of bedside manner. He did not apologize for screaming nor for 0 patient care. Simply unacceptable. It seemed like I walked into a Zoo not a Doctor’s Office. I didn’t cause his behavior. I was a patient asking a reasonable question, and he failed to meet basic standard of care. He behaved like a gangbanger or a drug dealer on the street who is about to shoot you if you ask one more question not a doctor. He was extremely hostile. I talked to the nurse lead and even she was shaking his head and saying im sorry. But he acted holier than thou and combative. Unbelievable. Is your doctor on drugs or drunk??? I cannot find any other explanation for this. On top of that the nurse Shannon was rude and continued to stare me down as I was getting in my car in efforts to intimidate me. You need to review the security camera footage you will see all I am talking about.

Great experience here with our 3 yr old daughter. They admitted us immediately even though it wasnt life or death situation (but we were on our way to a flight out of town), provided appropriate treatment quickly and were out just in time to catch our flight. Staff incredibly friendly and understanding, clean and well designed facility and they had a pediatric friendly room to help keep my daughter at ease. So glad we are close by

I just want to express how I was truly treated around 8:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026. We first went to urgent care and were shortly told that we needed to be admitted to the hospital ASAP. We were instructed to go to HCA West Hospital on Richmond because the urgent care doctor had already called ahead to explain what was going on. When we arrived at check-in, the interaction went like this: Staff: “How may we help you?” Patient: “We were told to come straight here from urgent care. The doctor also called and spoke to someone to give a heads-up about what’s going on.” A female RN then asked, “What’s the problem?” I handed her the paperwork from urgent care and explained that the doctor told me to give it to them upon arrival. She took the paperwork and asked us to have a seat so vitals could be taken. Shortly after, she brought us to a room in the back while registration completed paperwork. While we were still filling everything out, a male RN suddenly burst into the room and asked, “What is the patient here for?” I replied, “Excuse me?” because the tone immediately felt aggressive and dismissive. He repeated, “What is the patient here for?” I explained that the female RN already had the paperwork explaining everything. She handed it to him, walked out, and then mumbled, “Patient act like they can’t talk.” At that moment, we immediately left. No patient seeking medical help and answers about their health should ever feel disrespected, dismissed, or mocked. Healthcare workers may deal with stressful situations daily, but compassion and professionalism should still matter. Because of this experience, I will never step foot in this hospital location again, especially during the night shift. I truly hope no other patient is made to feel the way we did. And despite everything, I still pray their pillows stay extra cold and fluffy at night.

The two stars are for the wonderful nurses who are compassionate and actually listen. They genuinely care and advocate for their patients. The lack of the three other stars rests on the Doctor's shoulders. She was brusque and didn't take time to listen to my symptoms. She walked in the door with a preconceived notion of what was wrong and completely misdiagnosed me. She wouldnt hear anything I said and I felt dismissed and like she didnt care to resolve the issue I came in for. If you cant listen to your patients or treat them, maybe you're in the wrong profession, Antionette.

Physician warning: this is a billing issue, not a medical one. I am a physician and well-versed in medical billing. The medical care itself was not the problem. My child was treated appropriately for a routine nursemaid’s elbow, which was reduced quickly. No medications were given. The problem is the corporate freestanding ER billing model. An X-ray was ordered that was not perhaps medically necessary and did not change management, and we were later billed over $6,000 for a brief visit, with nearly $2,000 passed on to us. An X-ray should not cost $2,100, nor should a quick visit be $6000 plus. Notably, before this location was owned by HCA, this was not an issue. Similar visits in the past resulted in minimal, reasonable charges. The escalation in cost appears tied to corporate ownership and facility-fee driven billing, not a change in medical care. Attempting to resolve this directly with HCA billing was not productive, reinforcing that this is a systemic pricing strategy, not a misunderstanding. I am escalating this matter to the Texas Attorney General to help protect other families. Parents should be aware: care here may feel like urgent care, but billing is hospital-level. Ask very direct questions or consider a true urgent care for minor issues.
