I had a great experience at Camelback Dermatology today. Previously, I have had poor experiences at different dermatologists and came to Camelback to try and start fresh with a new dermatologist.
Dr. Bengston was amazing- calm, professional, excellent bedside manner and patient education. I left with a renewed confidence and understanding of my particular derm situation. The staff were also all very professional and kind.
Having been to several derm offices before, I can say with confidence this place is one of the best. I would recommend to family and friends and already have my next appointment scheduled. Thank you, Camelback Derm Team!
My appointment could not have gone better! Easy check-in, saw PA Jeff Bosley promptly who diagnosed and treated me easily and paid my fee and purchased skin moisturizer before leaving. It's always a pleasure to visit Camelback Dermatology & Skin Surgery!
Greeted on check-in and within minutes taken back for procedures. Staff was friendly and professional. Body check performed and addressed area needing attention. Although the nitrogen is necessary still hurts some but this is the procedure. I did forgot to ask the doctor about a skin condition and the assistant quickly got the doctor for my follow up question and prescribed new meds. At no time did I feel this visit was rushed and follow up appointment was planned. Very nice office and staff.
Echoing the customer service and follow up issues others have experienced. Without me remembering to follow up repeatedly my treatment plan and prescriptions would have fallen through the cracks. The exams and recommendations were good. The follow through, prescriptions, and billing have been problematic.
I had many highly frustrating experiences at Camelback Dermatology and will not be returning.
First, it is nearly impossible to speak to anyone at the front desk. Whether you are trying to schedule, reschedule, or ask a question, you are either left on hold indefinitely or forced to leave voicemails that go unanswered. When you finally do interact with the front desk staff, they are incredibly rude and dismissive.
To make matters worse, Dr. DeLuca’s bedside manner is terrible. She is incredibly condescending, rude, and dismissive. A visit to the dermatologist shouldn't feel this stressful or unwelcoming. The only positive experience I had at this office was with Dr. Slobodny. If I could only see her, and not deal with the rest of the office staff, I would remain a patient at this practice. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a practice that respects its patients and maintains basic professional standards.
I’ve been going to Camelback Dermatology for probably close to 30 years. I’ve had both medical care and aesthetician care. On the aesthetician side, I’ve had multiple BBL’s, peels, and have purchased a ton of skin care. I’ve recently been diagnosed with skin cancer so I have had probably 20 different biopsies in the last year. The medical care I received is good so I’ll say that. I do however find it super offensive that in order to burn off some rogue spots that aren’t covered by insurance, Camelback Dermatology wants to charge $80 per spot. Two seconds of spray for a client who has spent tens of thousands of dollars just in the last couple of years, let alone over the course of my time with CD. Some customer appreciation would go a long way.
Amazing. Kaitlyn is so full of knowledge and maps out a plan for you. You get to meet the dermatologist, which was amazing as well and speaks with you about your concerns. You are very well informed and they have amazing prices and plans.
I made an appointment with Brett Thomas for an annual skin check. I sat in the lobby almost an hour. Twice the front desk told me they are on their way to get you. The Doc gave me a cursory once over. When I pointed out several areas of concern two of them were completely dismissed. One spot he said if I really wanted to biopsy, he could do that. Turns out it was pre-cancerous. I made the follow up appointment with Christoph Bengson. I would see Bengson again. He was kind, thoughtful and addressed my concerns that were dismissed by Dr. Thomas. I have no confidence and Dr. Thomas.
