My first ER visit ever was a smooth and positive experience. I was able to walk right in and check in without any issues. Every staff member seemed to have a clear purpose and performed their role with professionalism, efficiency, and compassion.
Throughout my visit, I felt well cared for and treated with kindness and respect. The team took the time to ensure I was doing well before discharging me, which gave me great confidence in the care I received.
I hope I never need to visit an ER again, but if I do, I would absolutely choose Boswell. Thank you to the entire Boswell team for your dedication and the excellent care you provide every day!
I recently had an Aortic Valve replacement at Banner Boswell. My surgeon, Dr Veerappan, was the absolute best. I wish everyone could be as well taken care of as I felt under his care. He said I was going to be a new woman after my surgery, and I think she showed up. I didn't realize how bad I actually felt until after the surgery. I'm not tired all the time and I seem to be getting better every day. The staff at the Cardiac ICU was wonderful. They were attentive, professional and made me feel that I was the most important person there. If a hospital stay can be good, this one gets five out of five stars from me.
The staff and doctors in the surgical center were tremendous. They treated the patient with concern, expertise, and respect. Once I was moved to the room, the staff treated me like an inconvenience. One nurse told me she didn’t have time to get me pain relief “because she has four other patients”. My doctor ordered the pain relief heating pads, but they could not find any of the entire night. I was treated with disrespect, condescending attitudes, ignored, neglected, and Treated with cruelty from the nursing staff overnight. I do have all of the specific issues documented and would be happy to share if it would make a difference to even one patient. Even the hospitalist made it clear it was a bad decision to have the surgery.
My surgeon and his staff were outstanding and stopped by regularly to make sure that I was doing well. I think they were as horrified as I was by my treatment. Since I am deaf, I was also discriminated against, and that helped the nursing staff justify ignoring me. The Friday morning staff was superior, but I’m sure that the charge nurse had updated them on the torture, I experienced the previous afternoon and night. I was told someone would be reaching back out to me, but I have heard nothing in just short of a month.
My surgeon has reached out multiple times and if it wasn’t for his staff, I would describe Boswell as a disgrace. Dr. Brossard is amazing and he shows how caring, concerned and critical patient care should be.
Dr. Broussard and his staff are excellent communicators and made sure I knew it was going on every step of the way. The treatment from the nursing staff was just the opposite and there were several patients that felt that we were just inconveniences. The nurses never even got me up to walk, which was supposedly critical to my recovery. After all, they had four other patients. I am terrorized that this is the hospital in my community. I am so grateful for Dr. Broussard and his staff and they’re carrying nature as well as his expertise.
Staff on 3rd floor were horrible! My mother's room had no phone access for 4 days. Social worker never contacted us for discharge to rehab. I had to coordinate everything except for sending orders and chart records to insurance. When nurses station was called by family they were rude. Any questions asked were answered with I dont know. Horrible bed side manner on nursing part. They acted like they were doing patients a favor and not doing their job! If you dont want to do patient care..... GET OUT OF THE NURSING FIELD!
Just finished an outpatient procedure at Boswell on Thunderbird Blvd. I've been followed by doctors and staff in the Banner system for over a year and I have to say they are really great. Today's procedure was carried out on time and with great care both before and after the surgery. I won't name people because everyone was great every step of the way. Because I am in a long battle with renal cancer I'm sure I will be back and with absolute confidence in the care I will be given.
Receiving a diagnosis of stage 1 lung cancer is something that immediately changes your perspective, but the care I received from Dr. Brett Broussard and his team at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City made all the difference.
From the very first consultation, Dr. Broussard took the time to explain everything clearly and throughly, giving me both confidence and peace of mind. He approached my situation with a level of expertise, professionalism, and genuine compassion that is hard to overstate. I never felt rushed and every question I had was met with patience and honesty.
The entire team at Banner Boswell was equally outstanding. Their support before, during and after surgery made what could have been overwhelming experience feel manageable and hopeful.
Thanks to their skill and care, I am now cancer free. I am incredibly grateful and would highly recommend Dr. Broussard and his team to anyone facing a similar diagnosis. Their dedication truly makes a difference in the lives of their patients.
I was in-house here for 4 days after having an open aortic valve surgery on 2/11/2026.
EVERYTHING, all aspects of my career and everyone on the was excellent. Without exception.
No one appeared to be just going through the motions!
My repair was delayed a few hours because of an emergency. Staff members apologized. I used the time to view some Olympic coverage. Other than this non-issue, everything went absolutely great.
The ICU staff was top notch. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant.
The staff at 4 North was top notch. All excellent. I enjoyed being there WAY more than I would have expected even in my most amazing dreams.
Thank you from the bottom of my now-revitalized heart.
And thank you to Dr David Savage et Al on the surgical team.
I am, literally, feeling on top of my world.

My cat scan showed a growth that might be a tumor. I was terrified until I arrived at Boswell. My relief started with the welcoming smile of the security guard and the warm greetings from the guide who showed us back to the surgical waiting area. Somehow, I could tell they were proud to be working at Boswell Hospital. Then, after speaking with Dr. Joshua Jones, who not only took the time to explain the upcoming procedure but also listened respectfully to my concerns. I was no longer frightened. Every staff member I met at Boswell continued to reinforce the feeling of professionalism. Including my pre-op nurse Tanzi, recovery nurse Dawn, and my discharge nurse Kathy, not only were they professional, but I could tell they really cared about me as a patient. Thank you, Boswell, for hiring the best.
