I want to commend the staff (front desk) professional young ladies for the best customer service I experience. Their politeness and kindness goes unnoticed and should be recognized. I wasn't feeling well when I walked in but they made me smile. They addressed me properly and very respectful. Customer service at its best!

PLEASE BEWARE!!! In July 2025, I visited this clinic for two simple blood draw tests. Despite booking online, I waited over an hour. The nurse/phlebotomist was very unprofessional and appeared poorly trained. Before the blood draw, I made a point to tell her that I do not do well with getting my blood taken and have fainted in the past. Instead of taking precautions, she had me sit on the high examination table and told me to "look away and do what you got to do." She attempted to draw blood but struggled for at least 30 seconds, moving the needle around in my arm and failing to draw any blood. I began to feel out of it and told her it was hurting me. She immediately left the room to get someone else to try, without looking up at me to see that I was clearly fainting. As she was shutting the door, I fully lost consciousness. I woke up on the floor, covered in blood, with no idea where I was. When I fainted, I fell forward from the high sitting position on the examination table, directly onto my forehead. The staff member had still not returned, and I had to open the door myself to call for help. A doctor and multiple nurses then rushed in to tend to my deep, open wound. I had to be transported to the hospital by an ambulance, where I required a CT scan and 9 stitches to my forehead. There was also concern that I may have fractured my skull. I suffered a concussion that lasted for two months, had to stop working, and nearly had to delay starting my doctorate program, which I had worked years to get into. Since this traumatic incident, I have never received any follow-up or communication from AFC Urgent Care. I was left with a large scar on my forehead from this incident. I waited a long time to write this review because it was truly one of the worst days of my life. Due to this traumatic incident and very unprofessional care I received at AFC, I strongly encourage others to use a different urgent care in the area. I am attaching a photo of the resulting scar, as the images from the day of the incident are too graphic to share here.

Best urgent care I've been to. Front desk staff are friendly and knowledgeable about all types of insurance (even my lesser known one!). Needed an x ray and only waited about 5 minutes, saw the doctor and was on the x ray table within 10 minutes and got the results right away too. Rooms are clean and they have reserved spaces in the parking lot

I had a positive experience at AFC Urgent Care at the 5708 Ridge Ave Branch. The staff, including Michele, Tina, Sabrina, and Alec, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and maintained a respectful and welcoming environment throughout my visit. Communication was clear and helpful, and I felt that my concerns were listened to and addressed appropriately. The team worked efficiently, and services were provided in a timely manner. Their ability to work together and maintain a smooth workflow contributed to an overall pleasant experience. Based on my visit, I would recommend this location to others seeking urgent care services.

Michelle and everyone at the front desk were incredibly kind and friendly! The doctor and nurses were also excellent and put me at ease! I will definitely come back if I ever need urgent care again!

I had a great experience at American Family Care in Roxboro. Nahomie took care of me, and she was wonderful. She was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable during the visit. She listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything clearly. I really appreciated her help and the excellent care I received. Thank you, Nahomie, for such a positive experience.

I had my first visit for AFC and I was handed with good care. The ladies at the front desk Beatrice and Ciani were very helpful with me through the entire process. I didn’t wait long at all for Dr.Nahomie she was very polite and helpful as well. Everyone was respectful and friendly .

I had a great experience at AFC Roxborough. Tina, Michelle, Alec, and Sabrina were all attentive and kind, and helped make my visit quick and easy. I only had to wait about 10 minutes, and I was in and out within 45 minutes. The juice boxes and warm fireplace in the wait room are also a nice bonus.
