My journey use to take me for my medical visits to The Brooklyn Hospital on Dekalb. I can remember feeling the fear creeping in as I got off the elevator. By the time I got to the doors, the tears would just fall. Everyone was nice but the environment was gloomy! No brightness, very somber, my heart would race - my blood pressure high! When my then oncologist left, I was very worried. I was assigned to Dr. Maxim Shulimovich, DO and after a while, together (smile) we moved to The Brooklyn Cancer Centre located at 86 Fleet Place. This office is bright, clean, welcoming and spacious. Very little or no wait time! Walking in settles my heart - my blood pressure “normal “. The atmosphere takes away a great amount of the fear and dread of the situation that I usually associate with my visits to The Brooklyn Hospital. Dr Max has been my oncologist for many years now and he is just the greatest doctor. He is understanding, knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate. A doctor dedicated his patients and one that I find, easy to talk to. Yes, he is obviously busy but he does not rush your visits. No concern is too small to be discussed and he encourages you to let him know if you do have concerns. The staff are all friendly, helpful professionals. They smile, talk and laugh with you as they seamlessly do their work. I have received nothing but exceptional care from Dr. Max and his team. The follow-up and monthly wellness calls between visits are unmeasurable! How much they mean to a patient like me. Priceless! The journey is hard, exhausting, at times and for me, very emotional. So I am forever humbled, and I feel blessed that I have Dr Max who will address my concerns and who is apart of the health professionals who watches over my over-all medical care. Thank you Dr Max.
Dr Ullah and his team are compassionate caring and gentle. I feel assured at ease and trusting. Dr Ullah’s bed side manners is something to highlight. I feel at ease by him I feel confident in my treatment process and the care I will be getting there.. I want to celebrate the nursing team . Mackay,Julie and Mary.. I want to also celebrate Tiana chevanese who assisted me with my schedule and my uber scheduling… thanks to the team I feel confident with my care so far.
Dr. Quadri provided amazing, attentive, and holistic care. He truly took the time to listen to all of my questions and concerns and never made me feel dismissed. I felt heard, respected, and cared for throughout my visit. It is clear that he genuinely cares about what is going on with his patients, and I am very grateful for the care I received. I had an outstanding experience with Kalimullah Quadri, MD. As a specialist in hematology and oncology, he goes beyond just reviewing results—he truly takes the time to investigate, explain, and get to the root of what’s going on. His approach is both thorough and thoughtful, and he made what could have been an overwhelming situation feel manageable and clear.
What stood out most was his patience and attentiveness. He never made me feel rushed and took the time to answer every question I had with clarity and care. He listens, he explains, and he genuinely makes you feel like your concerns matter. That level of compassion, combined with his expertise, is something you don’t come across often.
I left my appointment feeling informed, reassured, and confident in my care. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and detail-oriented hematology and oncology physician.
My experience with Dr Asmat Ullah was Exceptionally Outstanding. He was Well Knowledgeable and Experienced of my Diagnosis. And gave me the steps I needed to move forward. His Entire Staff was Friendly and Courteous. I feel honored to Ullah as my Doctor.
