I’ve been a patient of Dr. Helen Shum for years now and I can’t say enough good things about her. She is an outstanding doctor who is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and always takes the time to explain everything clearly. What truly sets her apart is how genuinely compassionate and caring she is. She makes you feel like more than just a patient.
The staff at the Fresh Meadows office is just as wonderful. They are friendly, helpful, and the office is always clean and comfortable. The infusion nurses especially are incredible. They are so attentive and caring, and they truly go above and beyond to make you feel at ease.
I would highly recommend Dr. Shum and the team at NYCBS Fresh Meadows.
Dr. Ali Naboush is an outstanding hematologist and one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever met. From my very first visit, he took the time to listen carefully, answer all of my questions, and explain my treatment in a way that made me feel informed and confident. His expertise, kindness, and genuine concern for his patients are truly exceptional. I always feel that I am receiving the highest level of care. I am deeply grateful for his dedication and highly recommend Dr. Naboush to anyone seeking an excellent hematologist.
I had a great experience! This was my first time there and as a new patient. Absolutely amazing staff. They are kind, patient and care about your comfort and well being, and they took my concerns seriously. I have symptoms of anemia, sometimes i feel weakness and dizziness. The doctor recommended me to get IV iron infusion. I feel comfortable at this place and Dr. Kim is very friendly, knowledge and strength. I highly recommend this doctor!!!
The customer service at this site is amazing. They are careful, caring, personable & fun! It is a pleasure that for someplace that serves us with medical issues makes us feel welcome and comfortable.
Dr El-Hennawy is amazing he is compassionate, a problem solver, curious patient, confident, and makes me feel comfortable asking questions.

I’ve always had a good experience each time I am scheduled to return. Cleanliness of the place is wonderful. Executive greeting and scheduling staff professional and friendly . Just wish you had an office closer to Long beach NY. Phlebotomy techs are amazing drawing blood and good natured.
The PA I usually see is extremely thorough, professional yet very personable. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends.
Myself and my Mother’s visit to the specialist’s office was pleasant. The front staff were friendly. Dr. Byung Kim treated us kindly and went over and above explaining her condition to us. I have no doubt that my Mother will be receiving top-notch care!
The facility was spotless (even the bathroom)! The staff was very friendly and courteous. The doctor put us at ease with very thorough explanations. We were not rushed thru. The technician that took blood was very patient and efficient!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience being a patient of both the center and Dr. Naboush. From the front desk staff, to intake, to the nurses that I encountered - everyone was not only helpful, but also friendly. Facility was very clean and as welcoming as a transfusion center can be.
