I had an excellent experience at Nao Medical. The entire process for my DOT medical exam was smooth, professional, and efficient.
Dr. Frank Owusu was outstanding—very knowledgeable, respectful, and easy to talk to. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the examination.
The front desk staff were also amazing. They were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful from the moment I walked in. They made the check-in process quick and stress-free.
I highly recommend Nao Medical to anyone who needs a DOT physical or any other medical service. Excellent customer service, professional staff, and a great overall experience. Thank you to Dr. Frank Owusu and the entire team!
Dr. Frank is truly one of the best doctors I’ve come across. He took the time to really sit down and talk with me, listen to my concerns, and make sure I fully understood everything. He explained things in a way that was clear, patient, and reassuring, which made me feel comfortable and cared for. I never felt rushed during the appointment, and his professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail really stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and wants the best for them.
The girls in the back Jazz and Anifa was excellent. They got me in and out quick fast. The doctor was informatively and respectful. The girl Ornella in the front was quick and informative as well. Real patient and respectful. They were all collectively wonderful with their services.
The facility was clean and tidy, I was teated with professionalism and respect by the provider and the staff. My visit was fast but never felt rushed, I will definitely continue coming to this place 🍀
I have a complaint regarding that clinic and its staff. It turns out I went in on a Thursday for a consultation; a staff member told me that I either had to go elsewhere to get my vaccinations or bring in a record of my vaccination history. So, I returned on Saturday with the list. I asked her if everything would be completed that same day, and she said yes—that I would see the doctor, and he would tell me which vaccines I needed. I went in, but the woman who was supposed to draw my blood couldn't do it; she seemed to be in a rush to leave work, so she told me to come back on Monday. I then asked her, "On Monday, will I finish my tests and see the doctor?" She told me yes, so I returned on Monday. There were four attempts to draw my blood; I was passed from one staff member to another, and in the end, I’m not sure if they even managed to collect all the blood they needed. I hope my tests turn out to be complete. It then turned out that this location was only for lab work—not for seeing a doctor—so there I was, left with doubts and many unanswered questions. They wasted two days of my time. I paid to have my test results expedited, yet they couldn't give me a firm timeframe for when they would be ready; they simply said they would call me. The staff is highly unprofessional; one of them was even drawing my blood without wearing gloves. At the end, they handed me a receipt showing an outstanding balance; when I asked why, the employee simply shrugged and said it was "the system," assuring me that I didn't actually owe anything. The entire time, they kept asking each other what the other nurse had done on Saturday, as she hadn't entered the necessary information regarding the tests she had sent to the lab. They leave you alone in the exam room for 30 minutes while you wait for someone to come attend to you—all while you can hear the entire staff goofing off and laughing loudly. The only reason I didn't walk out immediately was that I needed everything done urgently; otherwise, I would have gotten out of there as fast as I could. The lack of communication and professionalism was truly unbelievable. Today, I received a message stating that they were unable to complete my tests and that I have to return to have another blood draw done—even though my veins are still swollen from the previous attempts.
The doctor didn’t seem like he wanted to do anything besides a quick look and dismissed my symptoms as allergies. I’ve had allergies for years and this is different. But as I said, zero test, waited in a room for 30 minutes for the doctor to look for 2 minutes and said I can leave. I’ve visited Nao in the past, but this new doctor sucks. Staff is great tho.
Outstanding service by Dr Frank and his amazing staff! I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for some of the best medical service in the business. Professional, friendly, and efficient from start to finish.
I am a RETURNING patient that was just seen two months prior with the SAME insurance. I came in with an APPOINTMENT for a hand injury. The front desk receptionist asked me to check in so I did and took a picture of the issue. I stood there waiting to be let in the back (where there is the another waiting room) to see someone, anyone… for an hour and a half. There was a woman waiting before me that waited as long as I did and then told the front desk receptionist that she’d be back later. During this wait, she asked several times what the wait was for and she responded “waiting to hear back from your insurance”. After realizing that I’d been watching patients who came after me leave while I was still waiting, I asked her, was she also waiting for my insurance & she said “yes”. I sat down visibly annoyed now & this is when she finally made calls (I’m sure to my insurance for an answer). I wait for another 20 minutes & then get up to ask for an update and as if she’s now annoyed, she ignores me, but I assumed it was because she was on the phone. Someone came in for a dog bite and she finally speaks “ just so you know, we have no Xray machines”. ( I came in for an X-ray of my hand). I walked out, never again in an emergency! Treat this like a regular clinic not an urgent care facility. Went to hunts point was seen ASAP.
