I would like to share my experience from 07/06. I walked into the clinic wanting to be seen due to an exposure. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the front desk informed me a physician would see me. I was directed across the check-in area. My first encounter was with Anahi, a medical assistant. I would like to share that she was very professional and helpful. She answered all my questions and explained step-by-step the testing I was going to have done. Then, NP Cupit walked in, greeted me, explained the process of my testing, answered all my questions, and made me feel welcome. He and his MA are a great team. I have never gone to a clinic where I have not felt judged. Thank you, NP Cupit, and to his staff for not judging me, and instead helping and guiding me."
Fast and effective check in. Polite and caring personnel. They will follow and help you with all your needs going to the extra steps. A pillar in Houston community for sure! Shout out to Dr. Ude-Okoro!
I had such a great experience at Legacy Community Health Center, and I feel it’s important to recognize exceptional service when it truly makes a difference.
VICTOR at the front desk was absolutely outstanding. After dealing with ongoing issues trying to get my prescription transferred to a new pharmacy and struggling to communicate with the doctor’s office, Víctor stepped in and handled everything with professionalism, urgency, and care. He didn’t just point me in another direction or give me the typical runaround—he took ownership of the situation and made sure it was resolved in a timely manner. That level of service is rare and incredibly appreciated.
I also want to give a big thank you to Brian, the medical assistant, who supported the process and helped ensure everything moved forward smoothly. His willingness to help and positive attitude did not go unnoticed.
We truly need more professionals like Víctor and Brian—people who actually listen, take action, and provide real solutions when patients are having issues. Their dedication made what could have been a frustrating experience turn into a very positive experience.
Thank you!
I received a text from Legacy saying this:
“You have medication(s) with a high copay at Legacy Pharmacy Montrose. Please contact the Insurance Assistance Team.”
When I arrived at the pharmacy, they told me to go to Eligibility and that they would help me there. I waited for 45 minutes. The 7 patients who were there went in, and there was never anyone at the front desk. When I was leaving, I asked someone why I had been sent there, and they answered: “You have to register downstairs” (which no one mentioned to me at all).
I can’t believe there was no one assisting people on the 4th floor. And I don’t understand why they are asking me for insurance for PrEP. I have never been asked for insurance for PrEP before. This place has been very disorganized lately.
I even asked for permission at work to come here, only for them to ruin my day. I didn’t even get the medication. Thanks for nothing.
Dr. Mariana Smith is, without exaggeration, the kindest person I have ever met. From the very first moment, she makes you feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. She treats her patients with so much patience, warmth, and professionalism that you can tell she truly loves what she does. Not only is she excellent at her job, but her human quality is something very rare to find nowadays. I left my appointment feeling grateful to have found her
I would like to take a moment to recognize La’Quala T. at Legacy Community Health for her outstanding compassion and customer care. She called me regarding a referral for a program, and from the very beginning, she made me feel heard and supported.
She took the time to listen to me without rushing the conversation. She was patient, kind, and helpful in explaining the program and even sharing additional services that might be available to me.
What touched me the most was that she went above and beyond by calling me again the next morning simply because she said I “stuck on her heart” and she wanted to check on me. That level of genuine concern is rare today, especially in customer service.
Her kindness and sincerity meant more than I can express, and I felt compelled to let someone know what an incredible impact she made. Legacy Community Health is blessed to have someone like La’Quala on their team.
2 stars , the doctors are nice and pharmacy is great! They make sheduling an appointment and checking in for an appointment difficult. The medical assistant I had was very rude. They try to push for phone appointments but I dont see the point of that especially when I have to pay a high copay just to talk on FaceTime. I've been coming for years but the service has become more sloppy.
I had a severely negative experience with this practice. In my experience, treatment here worsened my mental health, contributed to suicidal thoughts after I was prescribed medication, and had lasting effects on my ability to function and trust therapy.
I did not feel that my past experiences or environment were adequately recognized or addressed, and I was encouraged to remain in a situation that I later came to understand as harmful.
When I reported that the medication was making my mental health worse, including causing suicidal thoughts, the response was to adjust the dosage in a way that did not resolve the issue.
The experience was destabilizing, affected my ability to maintain work and stability, and created a lasting hesitation toward seeking therapy again.
After leaving this practice and taking a different approach, I was eventually able to rebuild stability, improve my mental health, and develop healthier relationships. The contrast was substantial.
I also requested copies of my medical records, was told they would be provided, and never received them or clear follow-up communication.
This was my personal experience, but the impact was significant enough that I think it is important to share for others considering care here.
