Can't speak for other services but the inpatient psychiatric ward is the best I've been to and other patients have said the same. The clinicians and staff are almost all friendly and genuinely seem to care. They don't treat you like an inmate and I can say my mental health was better for it. I had good experiences during follow-up appointments as well and got to talk to a few other clinicians, who were also caring and not dismissive. If I had to go inpatient again, I'd no doubt choose to come here.

Pls Note: I wrote a previous review but it was either deleted or removed. This happened on Febuary 13, 2026. My experience with Dr. Marco Rodriguez was shocking and deeply upsetting. During my father’s hospitalization, I attended a meeting to discuss his care and discharge. Instead of a professional and collaborative conversation, I was met with what I perceived as a dismissive and hostile demeanor. I was repeatedly talked over, not allowed to fully express my concerns, and felt that my input as a family advocate carried no weight. The bedside manner was abrupt and unprofessional. I have never experienced a physician speak to me in that way. As he exited my father’s room, he told me in-front of the nurse and charge nurse who also seemed shocked but put there heads down to “go ahead and go to the news” and “go ahead and sue him,” adding, “that’s just the way it is.” I was stunned that such a statement would be made during a serious discussion about my father’s health and discharge. Families deserve to feel heard, respected, and included in important medical conversations. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

The nurses and doctors treated my friend the other night and me with the upmost disrespect I’ve ever received from a hospital. After not checking up on us for an hour my friend asked me to ask them when he could leave. Said I was playing doctor when MY FRIEND ASKED ME TO ASK ONE QUESTION. The doctor said he couldn’t leave because of hit “heart rate” but then discharged us 10min later. ITS A SHAME THESE PEOPLE ARE IN THE FIELD OF TAKING CARE OF OTHERS. I would drive the distance to any other hospital than to deal with these kind of nurses and doctors. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. I wish I could leave 0 stars )):

This hospital should be shut down beware run do not come here. I came Thursday afternoon to the ER they let me sit for four hours in the corner by myself, screaming to the top of my lungs in agony and in pain I had a golf size stone in my kidney however they gave me no pain medicine they just watched me laughing snacking watching me as if I was a circus animal me being heavy and dark skin after they accuse me of being on drugs and I’ve never done drugs a day in my life. Guess what I suffered a stroke because of the pain my body couldn’t take it I was rushed to OR upstairs ended up turning into ICU.. the nightmare didn’t end I was then taken to the 7floor with no bathroom why because it smelled like mold, black mold was everywhere chipped paint the bathroom wasn’t usable so they brought me a bucket for me to go in all night long . I stayed in that room while the man next to me called for help over and over and nobody came he ended up coding blue I was traumatized I wanted to leave. And that’s when the nurse seetha on the 7th fl ripped out my IV and left my arm bruised and discolored. No worries I will be filling a IDPH report and submit all my videos along with all the nurses names Who either was rude didn’t do. Their job was sleeping on the job did not care for their patient because they were rude and just didn’t care there were many good nurses Emily, Brianna , angie in ICU Sada on the 7th fl when I spoke up for myself they call me crazy I have mental health problems, but I didn’t have mental health problems when I videotaped every last thing that I’m talking about, but they did give me some great sitter’s who the nurse’s tried to bully to get them to not listen to their supervisor, but in fact, go sit with someone else who they’re supervisor Didn’t assign them to they were supposed to go to the person that they’re supervisor signed them to not the person the nurses wanted .
