To NP Vincent, I just wanted to sincerely thank you for taking such great care of me during my visit to the emergency room. I truly appreciate the time you took to check on me and make sure I was doing okay. Your kindness, professionalism, and compassion made a difficult experience much more comforting. I also want to thank the entire staff for the excellent care and support they provided. I am truly grateful for everything you all did. Thank you again!

I’ve been here a lot of times before. There’s a lot of improvements that need admin attention. Sanitation throughout the premises. Service. ER staff alertness and mindfulness. Paging system (Should it really be fixed on the patient’s head?). And please fix THE CEILING TILES! ER nurses just do things to you without even explaining to us— their victims! I wish they get trained correctly about this. It’s just infuriating that they inject anything to one’s body!

The 3-hour wait in the freezing waiting room, when I was presenting with cardiac symptoms, was ridiculous. I finally asked if I’d been forgotten, and within two minutes a tech came to draw my labs. I’m a retired nurse, so I understand there will be waits, especially if there’s a high volume of ambulance cases that get priority. I was shivering with cold and illness, but was told people don’t get warm blankets in the waiting room. When I was finally called back, my brisk nurse dug around in my right hand and my right inner arm, extremely painfully, and could not get IV access. I requested someone else and another nurse came and put the needle in painlessly with success on her first try. Later, when I was unhooked from the monitors to use the restroom, my nurse failed to reattach me to the machine and its alarm beeped for over an hour until I finally got up and silenced it myself. She was very inattentive. The restroom was very unclean with fresh feces on the floor in four places and puddles of liquid resembling urine. I reported it and hope it was cleaned up sooner than later. The techs were very kind and attentive. The porter, Mufasa (sp) should get a very big raise! He was so kind and caring and gentle. Fortunately my heart was in good shape, but, Overall, as a visitor from Texas, I can’t say I would recommend your emergency department to my friends.

I normally I’m not somebody who leaves reviews, but I actually really wanted to leave a review. I have gone to so many different emergency rooms over the last few months dealing with some chronic pain and this emergency room staff from the check-in people to the actual nurses into the doctors were so nice and kind and even a bit fun, which was so helpful whenever you’re coming in for something that can be stressful. I would like to say that the process was easy. My labs were returned in a very quick in orderly fashion, and I felt like the people that were caring for me actually cared about me. If I need to go back to an emergency room It will absolutely be this one. Thanks.🤍

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I’m not from California. My family is in Missouri. I’m here because I have addiction problems that I came to address and on this night in rehab, I developed kidney stones. It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I had no idea what was happening. It was very scary so we called an ambulance and for the rest of the night I was treated like absolute worthless garbage by every medical professional that I came into contact with from then on. EMT and paramedic both looked at me like I was a bug in their way. They didn’t put me on a gurney. They didn’t do vitals, they barely asked me any questions. Didn’t get in a hurry to get to the hospital. Sat in the ambulance the whole time and listened to me scream with annoyed looks on their faces. Then they dumped me off in the waiting room at the hospital and left. Everyone at the hospital tried to ignore me as well, but I simply couldn’t help but scream in agony and crawl my way down the hallway, begging for help literally at the feat of these nurses. They finally put me in a bed in an area that I’m pretty sure they save for psychiatric patients because the man next to me kept pulling his genitals out and one of the nurses kept telling him to “put his peepee away” and he just wouldn’t. They finally ultimately did treat me. I have the massive bruising up and down my arm where like 4 or 5 teenagers tried to get a vein in me for an hour. A doctor finally showed up and ordered morphine because I was still screaming and they ran an MRI and sure enough, I wasn’t faking it. Don’t go here. Seriously. You’re better off getting an uber or a bus to anywhere else.

I recently had to be seen for an emergency, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Every member of the hospital staff treated me with compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness during a very stressful time. The nurses were especially wonderful — they were incredibly kind, gentle, attentive, and reassuring throughout my care. They took the time to listen, made sure I was comfortable, and consistently treated me with patience and empathy. Their calm and caring approach truly made a difficult situation much easier to get through. The security staff were also extremely helpful, respectful, and supportive. A very special shoutout to Vincent Tejada, who was absolutely amazing. He was kind, thoughtful, attentive, and took the time to involve me in shared decision-making, which I deeply appreciated. I am sincerely grateful to the entire team for the excellent care. Thank you all for making such a positive difference during a difficult moment.

I am writing this to update my review based on my recent experience, as well as my father’s visit for gallstones two years ago. I advise patients with non-life-threatening emergencies to consider other options if possible. Arriving between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM resulted in an excessively long wait to see a physician, seemingly prolonged by the shift change. This happened to both my father and me. While I understand triage protocols, waiting hours until the morning shift just to receive an initial evaluation felt unreasonable given the severity of my symptoms, which included severe vomiting and exhaustion. Furthermore, despite being completely depleted of energy and feeling too weak to even sit upright, I was forced to remain in a waiting room chair for hours to receive a blood transfusion and my medical examination. While I understand there may have been operational constraints regarding bed assignments at that hour, being left with no place to lie down while in such severe physical distress was physically agonizing. What was most distressing, however, was the conduct during my IV insertion. To be fair, the doctor was kind, and the other nurses, including the female nurse involved, were polite, friendly, and professional. However, the male nurse who attempted to insert the IV clearly lacked the necessary clinical skill. He kept piercing my skin without finding the vein, causing immense pain. When I informed him that he was digging into my flesh and pointed out that the vein didn't even run in that direction, he just laughed it off and jokingly complained, asking why I hadn't told him sooner. Making light of a patient's physical distress due to one's own clinical shortcomings is highly unacceptable, whether he was a trainee or not. As a result of his botched attempts, my arm is now covered in dark, severe bruises. To top it off, during the morning shift change, staff members were openly socializing and celebrating a birthday while patients were waiting for care. While ER environments are stressful and staff deserve a positive workplace, the lack of empathy and professional boundaries from certain staff members was deeply disappointing. I hope management thoroughly reviews staff conduct and clinical standards to improve patient care.
