Five stars isnt enough for the service I just recieved! Well done NHS Scotland! Referral letter within two weeks, visited out patient, examined and sent for scans, results that day. In and out in 2 hours! Every single member of staff i encountered from receptionists, nurses, doctor, radiologist where all so lovely, friendly, efficient and with clear information and instructions from start to finish. So blessed to have the NHS run like this in my local hospital. THANK YOU ALL X and all was well with my scans so happy days x
Attended orthopaedic clinic Dr.Sam Jose explained my conditions so clear & showed me the x rays he arranged for me, also bloods & arranged a dexa-scan as well as showing me a helpful online guide to help relieve pain, (Back Intelligence) his staff are kind,& understanding, made me feel at ease talking me through what the doctor had requested them to do bloods,etc , all the investigations Dr.Jose done & arranged were all completed within weeks, things I have requested from my GP for more than 4 years with no acknowledgement of my requests. Thank you so very much Dr.S.Jose & staff & lastly would like to mention how clean this clinic is from one area to another, as well as reception staff your all great & so well manner, really appreciated this was the clinic & Hospital I was referred to. Fabulous department ⭐⭐⭐
Just had emergency surgery for appendicitis yesterday morning after being admitted on Sunday evening following a GP referral! I cannot fault the care at all! My first hospital admission ever and the first I’ve had in Scotland since moving from England. As a nurse who worked in NHS back home, the care here was amazing and so much faster. They were efficient and quick with all tests and diagnosis and the care I received was preventative and they took every precaution to make sure I didn’t get any worse. I stayed on Ward 4 and was discharged today. Thank you so much for all your care and making me feel at ease and well looked after. Amazing team and has really given me faith in the NHS here, especially when I know how tough the system is currently!
A great hospital to attend staff welcoming and friendly a well laid out hospital but can be a bit of a pain if you are looking for the clinics and the right ones. The only gripe I have got is the hospital pharmacy is on the top floor. The coffee house in the hospital serves excellent cappuccino and lattes etc. The hospital restaurant is good for lunch etc. There is a newsagent in the hospital where you can buy magazines, newspapers, etc.
Over the past 20 years I have received nothing but the very best care, support and help from so many of the team within Hairmyers Hospital.
Yesterday at 7 pm I attended the x-ray department for a brain MRI scan. A procedure I find very difficult for various reasons. Without the care, concern, support and respect shown and given to me by Nurse STEPHANIE and the technician ( apologies for not remembering your name) I would not have been able to have had the scan, which obviously is essential for diagnosis.
When I thanked STEPHANIE for her empathy and care she said ' it's my job, I'm doing my job'
The care I received, appreciate and value was NOT just doing a job, in my view .. it was a wonderful human being, a 'born' Nurse, whose care and compassion is invaluable and should be respected and valued by us all.
My sincere thanks to you STEPHANIE your kindness will stay with me always ✨
Great hospital and NHS staff as to be expected.
However this site is in immediate need for additional parking. Cars abandoned everywhere. Disabled bays full of cars without a parking card. You could easily spend hours finding parking space. This is completely unacceptable especially difficult to get into the hospital if you are with someone with a disability and you stay to far away to use public transport.
Recently had a hip replacement in hairmyers, I'd like to thank the surgical team, from start to finish, and the lovely attentive caring staff in ward 7. They made my stay so comfortable. A credit to the NHS.
