My full experience so far as I am still in the healing process is excellent at Thornbury. Andrew Morritt Is a fantastic surgeon and a lovely man to deal with. The nurses throughout my stay were exceptional Sara, Jordan, Joanne, Chrissy, Kim, Sarah ( One lady from the Philippines, unfortunately, I can’t remember her name as it was in the middle of the night) I might have missed some people as I was on pain killers. All the ladies on the catering team five star also. The surgical team were so lovely & calming. Also thank you to my anaesthetist For being down to earth and making me laugh. It’s a breath of fresh air in that Hospital in comparison to my local. Everyone seemed happy and pleased to be there which made My overall experience exceptional.
All staff were extremely helpful friendly and supportive. Professor Radley was brilliant. Very informative respectful and friendly. Although I’m still going through the healing process, help is there if I need it. Thornbury is a great hospital. Very clean and comfortable. I would recommend anyone who needs surgery to give this place a look 👀. From the first consultation to having my surgery done and being discharged, the process was very simple communication was easy via the app.
Start from the reception till the surgery was done, everyone was very friendly, professional , they try to keep you positive , talking all the time with you and very respectful. My experience was an amazing one, 10 out of 10 plus a star. Keep up the good work :)
I had a lovely room and both myself and my husband were treated with respect and listened to about worries and questions linked to the surgery. I was cared for well over night and everyone from the nurses down to the catering team were very friendly, I was particularly worried when being put to sleep knowing I would be in pain when I woke - but the team in there were excellent and smiles, warmth and a hold of the hand helped. They reassured me about the plan for pain which they followed through on. Pain management was top priority throughout my stay.
This is a beautiful private hospital on the outskirts of Sheffield and my family has used it in the past for various procedures and specialists. Easy to get to and lots of parking facilities. Managed to get a last minute appointment which was just what I needed. Worth the cost I would have had to wait 3 - 6 months otherwise. The staff and nurses were very professional and polite. The doctor I met with was first class and helped me with my specific needs for my diabetes.

Today I had a replacement joint in my thumb funded by the NHS and everyone from the moment I arrived to the moment I left were fantastic. All so incredibly friendly yet professional and they really have taken such great care of me. I need gluten free food which was no problem at all and was delicious. The room was lovely and quiet and bright and airy and my operation and short stay was made to be as comfortable as it could possibly be. Thank you all so much, I am truly grateful 🙂
Attended Thornbury hospital as an NHS outpatient and the care and staff provided were exceptional. I attended 2nd March for ankle surgery and felt so at ease and cared for. Discharged the same day and couldn’t have wished for a better hospital to have my surgery at.
I can honestly say everyone was so amazing. Thornbury managed to get me an urgent doctor's appointment and scans. SAJ who did the mammogram was amazing. She really went above and beyond to get some other scans sent over from another hospital. Doctor Ford who did my ultrasound and biopsy was so understanding and very clear about what would happen before each procedure The chaperone was really lovely. They all made everything as pleasant as it possibly could be. Huge appreciation.
