Recently attended the hospital where I was dealt with their incredible staff “Carol, Taylor And Ray”.
True example of their impeccable and shining services. Very helpful, welcoming, considerate and caring staff. Great to see a fantastic staff for a fantastic organisation. MRI Scanner.
Exceptional from start to finish. Just had a hernia operation at this hospital, great admin staff, wonderful nurses, and carers, paired with a friendly and professional surgeon and anesthesiologist team. Thanks to all of them for looking after me, very much appreciated. 🙏🏻👏🏻❤️
I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed by Mr Spencer Hodges which I was extremely nervous about. I had never been put under general anaesthetic before but the team made me feel SO relaxed. Claire the nurse was absolutely lovely & so attentive, my anaesthetist Dr Jay Dasan was brilliant. He really knows how to relieve you of your fears& was hilarious! He put me so at ease I was no longer scared of being put out. Ezra, the girl in theatres was so sweet & made sure I was comfortable. She even went out of her way to get me a fresh unripped gown (I was handed one ripped at the arms). Mr Hodges himself is extremely good at what he does, despite all the risks that come with removal of 4 impacted teeth I haven’t had any complications so far. Drs like him are few and far between. I had so many questions leading up to the surgery & he kindly scheduled multiple calls with me to make sure I was comfortable & had all the information I needed. On the day he was very present, checking in before and after the surgery & making sure my mum was comfortable & knew I was being taken care of!
Also the pharmacists Bibi & her colleague who came to give me my meds whilst I was still under the effect of the anaesthetic - super kind! Overall I couldn’t be happier with the people I had looking after me. Glad I had this procedure done at Blackheath
Referred here from the nhs for a procedure and it was such a wonderful experience, from start to finish.
The pre op procedure was made so much better by the amazing Lydia and Ali and my nurses were just stellar. Charlotte and Ana were so kind, gentle and patient and just so very caring. From the lovely reception staff to the lady that cleaned my room, all of the staff were just first class. Well done Blackheath Hospital, what was a potentially scary and nerve wracking situation was made much easier by being so very fortunate enough to have been referred to you due to waiting list times. Bravo
I went for a Colonoscopy on 10-Feb-2026. I definitely remember it’s Riza the nurse who tended to me for the most part, she was very friendly, kind, smiling, caring and supportive. She checked my blood sugar level, made sure it was within accepted limits, accompanied me to the theatre, came out with me, and ensured I was okay afterwards. If I remember correctly the other nurse was Margarita who prepared me for the procedure. She was very patient, careful and complimentary. Dr. Rosaria is awesome - clever, calm, knowledgeable and very good at what she does. All in all, I had a great experience (despite the type of procedure) and felt very well looked after. My hearty thanks to the team 😊
My recent hospital stay was nothing short of outstanding. From admission through to discharge, the level of care, professionalism, and compassion shown by every member of the team was exceptional. What could have been a challenging, stressful time was made genuinely comfortable thanks to the staff’s kindness, clear communication, and unwavering commitment to patient wellbeing. Every interaction - whether with nurses, doctors, or support staff - reflected a standard of care that truly exceeded my expectations.
I am deeply grateful for the expertise, attentiveness, and humanity shown throughout my stay. The entire team delivered exemplary care, and I cannot thank them enough for the positive experience.
Had a hip replacement with Dr Dey in April , I was amazed at the scar how well I've done my recovery was alot better IE physio because of him.scar very best hardly shows op went well thank you to all staff involved in my car. I'm due a knee replacement in the future I will not hesitate to have Dr Dey do it I felt so completely different this operation when I co.e around thank you so much. Also Filipo physio is so great he has helped me I er the part five years other hip knee and this without his help I would have been lost even when I emailed him lacking in confident he was there for me answering me helping me and giving me the confident boast
I have had surgery twice here and I can say without a doubt it is the best care I have received! The team that has greeted me each visit (Carol, Suzanne and Emma) are always so helpful, personable and professional. They are always efficient, welcoming, and immaculately put together.
My Pre-Op nurse, Bridget, has been a ray of sunshine, taking the time to ensure I had all the information needed and making me feel genuinely special. The ward, and the team of care professionals there (physiotherapists included) were attentive, tidy, good-natured, and supportive. I felt complete confidence in their abilities and level of cleanliness. The team carrying out the procedure were friendly, and reassuring, informative without belittling, and treated me kindly.
The post-surgery nurses were brilliant! Most names escape me, but Patrick was excellent - clean, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and always making sure I knew I could come back anytime between appointments if I had any concerns. This is not an isolated experience, every nurse I saw post-surgery was the same way.
Every scan happened promptly and I never waited more than a few minutes for the results - this was such a novelty that I kept leaving after the scans believing it would take days or weeks, only to receive a call from my surgeon asking where I’d got to so that we could discuss results (!)
And finally my surgeon, Mr. Hewitt has seen me through two procedures and has been beyond brilliant He is entirely likeable, and has a way of explaining things so they are easy to understand without making one feel stupid. His closures/stitches are so seamless he could sew for Oscar de la Renta! I feel very fortunate to have been a patient here.
