Booked a 30-minute hygienist appointment for 11:30. I arrived 5 minutes early and was told on arrival that the clinic was running behind due to a machinery issue that morning , no prior notice was given, so I only found out once I was already there. I ended up waiting 35 minutes past my appointment time.
I had specifically booked with a hygienist I usually see and trust, but was seen by a different, much less experienced, hygienist instead. Again with no advance notice of the change.
The session itself started at 12:08 and ended at 12:25, around 17 minutes of actual treatment for a 30-minute booked slot. Throughout, instead of using a mirror or retractor to move my lips/cheeks aside, the hygienist used her finger in my mouth.
I requested a refund given the shortened, substituted appointment, but this has not been granted.
Communication needs improvement! Delays and staff changes should be flagged before or on arrival, not discovered on the day.
Had my first check up at Damira this week. Everyone I encountered (receptionist, dentist and dental nurse) were all really kind and helpful. Zahidah and the dental nurse did a good job at keeping me at ease during the appointment and explained everything clearly and a did a good clean of my teeth. Thanks to the team for doing a good job - highly recommend.
I visited Damira Docklands Dental Practice for the first time. Initially, I paid £37, which was a special promotional offer for a dental examination. Following the examination, the dentist recommended hygiene treatment. The receptionist then helped me book an appointment and informed me that the cost of the hygiene treatment would be £70, which I agreed to.
However, once I was seated and the treatment was about to begin, I was informed that I required advanced hygiene treatment, which would cost £100, and I was asked to pay the additional amount.
I would like to understand why this information was not explained to me in advance, before the appointment or before the treatment started. I am also concerned about being charged extra during the treatment without prior discussion or clear consent. I believe treatment options and costs should be explained clearly beforehand so patients can make an informed decision.
I would appreciate your clarification on this matter.
Aidin is a great dentist! Trust me when I say I am the most nervous client ever but he put me at ease and made me feel really comfortable. No pain while taking out a tooth at all.
I had a very pleasant experience when I attended my regular dental checkup on 1/12/2025.
I was seen by Dr. Anna Hope. She carried out the checking and examination of my dental and oral condition efficiently and professionally. Explaining to me what she was doing along the way. The dental assistant also has a gentle handling of the suction during the cleaning process. All in all I am very happy with the experience. One last comment: Dr. Hope and her assistant makes a good team!

Today, 06/05/2026, when I went for my hygiene appointment, the hygienist said he would check again as part of his normal process, and I said ok. After checking, he was asking me to go for a more expensive one. When I told him about the doctor's note and other things about what he mentioned that day, the hygienist replied to me that he doesn't care what the doctor said and he doesn't follow the doctor's note. He only does what he thinks, as he works for privately and also the doctor was Locam, he does not have any value to him.
THIS IS A SCAM PLACE. RUBBISH.
Been visiting for a number of years and it's always been great. A great team, fronted by a super efficient receptionist along with a good online booking and payment system. Importantly, the dental team are great, Aidin particularly is totally professional whilst being friendly, explaining everything, competently undertaking various treatments all pain free, and providing good advice. Highly recommended.
Had a very good experience here. Can’t fault them. Dr Ahmed is very good; he is very knowledgeable and explains things very well.
The prices are reasonable.
The staff is very accommodating. Anna from reception is super competent and accommodating. She rearranged other appointments to fit me in, what a legend 👍
