We have been using this practice for 30 years and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the reception staff ,to the dentist (Michael House) they have all been professional , knowledgeable and helpful. The practice has recently become a private practice, we have chosen to stay because of how highly we value our experience with them .
Been going here since before having a family and then taken all five of my children here, who have now grown into adults and all still are on the books for here as we all love it!
All the staff, everyone is happy and helpful! The whole environment feels such a lovely place to be! It’s a sunshine place even in winter! We see Sarah and she is amazing! But even when we’ve seen others, they all are absolutely fantastic! Couldn’t recommend enough! They are the best!
I accompanied my elderly mum who is in a wheelchair for her first appointment with this practice. The dentist had such a lovely manner with mum, adapting to her needs and explaining things clearly. The other staff ie dental nurse and receptionist were likewise helpful, considerate and so welcoming. It made the whole experience so much better and less stressful for mum and I.
I was a patient at this practice for nearly 30 years, originally under Apple Dental Practice now Rodericks.
In recent years, particularly following the practice becoming part of Rodericks Dental, my experience has declined.
Communication around NHS treatment became unclear. I received emails promoting dental care plans with different levels of access and monthly cost, but these did not clearly explain whether NHS treatment remained available. When I contacted the practice, I was advised that my dentist, Mr Michael House, would be moving to private care and that no new NHS appointments could be made with him, but without clear guidance on what this meant for existing patients.
I did not receive any formal letter outlining options.
Shortly before Christmas 2025, I was unable to access NHS dental care through the practice and was concerned about the risk of being left in significant pain over the holiday period. I therefore had to seek private treatment via an emergency dental service at another practice in order to obtain diagnosis, antibiotics and care.
Regular appointments were often only available several months in advance and, on occasion, were then changed by the surgery at short notice and moved back by further months.
In addition, I later requested my dental records when moving to a new dentist. While these were eventually provided, the initial response was incomplete and required follow-up before all relevant information, including X-rays, was supplied.
On a more positive note, the clinical treatment I received over the years has generally been good, and the records and X-rays were useful to my new dentist once obtained.
However, due to the lack of clear communication and difficulty accessing NHS care in practice, I ultimately decided to move to another dentist.
I hope the practice can improve clarity for patients, particularly around NHS availability and communication during periods of change.
I am extremely nervous of the dentist but I was very much put at ease and reassured throughout the appointment. Was given really good advise and felt like I was actually being listened too. Thank tou
Broke off front tooth . Got appointment in less than 24 hours. Very obliging and helpful team . I saw Mr Grieg and nurse Emma . In and out with repaired tooth in 20 minutes. Very pleased with all round service . Thank you !
I've been seeing Meltem regularly for hygienist appointments, she is always so friendly and takes the time to explain everything simply, with good care and support! You get a really good service here with Meltem and the whole team, thanks.
My last NHS visit! Forced to go Private. Extraction and filling most professionally accomplished. In my 80s so found it somewhat demanding. Survived well and slept well, so task was well done.
