I had a knee operation there on the 24 of May 2026, what an absolute pleasure it was, in general all the staff there were so friendly and helpful and really kind. I was taken to the day ward and was given my bed that I was going to be in, had a wonderful nurse called Ashling who took care of me so well and made me feel safe and that I was going to be alright. as it was my first ever operation. Had my surgery done with Mr Rowan and absolutely loved having him as my surgeon felt very comfortable and safe with him, he was really kind and comforting. All the nurses when I came out were really nice and made me feel really calm. A wonderful experience overall. Could not have asked for better and more professional experience
. Thank you
From my initial assessment to my release I have found the doctors, nurses, catering staff and everyone that has passed me in uniform to be amazing, friendly and so caring. UPMC has surpassed all my expectations of private healthcare. Mr Liam Devane did my surgery and by the time I was going under anaesthetic he had covered any medical questions I had so I was very comfortable and no nerves whatsoever. Upon waking all the nursing staff could not have been more helpful and caring to my needs. Ohh and the breakfast wasn’t half bad either.
I had a knee replacement in Whitfield under Mr Rowan and I was delighted with the care and attention I received.I also have to say the staff are brilliant and a special mention to Bridget and Ashling who looked after me .And thanks to the physio team who are brilliant.
An excellent medical facility with easy access to a wide range of consultants and quick procedures done on site. Lots of parking with ease of access, medical staff, consultant room staff are all excellent and interact pleasantly.
The only down side is the café, which I believe is outsourced. Tables are frequently dirty with crumbs, floor not swept and simple things like having the chairs pushed back into the tables. The cashier/batista rarely smiles, doesn't look you in the eye and gives the impression she wants to be elsewhere.
What a great hospital.
This sets the standard for customer/ patent experience.
Unlike other hospitals if your in for a procedure where you stay overnight your experience is patient focused.
You book in - they check your cover and complete any paperwork/ payment if needed then your off to your room.
Just like a boutique hotel (only a little more sterile)
Your pre op paper work and tests are done in your own room.
You can unpack and rest
Then they take you down from your room and off for your procedure as normal.
Everyone I met and I mean everyone was absolutely outstanding. I don’t want to list them as I will forget one. Just trust me nothing is too much trouble.
Well done
Putting the patient first
Brilliant experience
You should all be very proud of yourselves
Thank you
I recently attended consultant Jasna for cataract surgery. She has also treated me with laser for glaucoma in the past. She explained everything very clearly. On all occasions I found her efficient and empathetic.
I had an MRI yesterday and was really overwhelmed with the kindness and care and humour of a nurse called Carmel she was extraordinary to say the least,we need more people in this world like her,
