I was avoiding this center because of the bad reviews, but honestly I had a very good experience in occupational health, phone calls and when scheduling a GP appointment with Dr David da Silva. It was all very fast and efficient. ⭐️
I guess, like most of the health centers and hospitals, it depends on the level of business of the day and who you speak to. I am from portugal and I am finding lots of contrasts in administration/reception/treatment in healthcare settings here. It's either rude or pleasant, there's no in between. If you find someone rude, try to speak with the colleague next to them or ask to redirect to another person, that's what I do at least. If it's on a call or in person, try to call or go another day when they rotate.
Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with the reception staff when calling to change an appointment.
I phoned on Monday morning (12/01/2025) and initially reached the reception desk after waiting in the queue. I explained that I needed help rescheduling appointments, however before the situation was properly addressed, I was transferred to another line where nobody answered and the call was disconnected.
When I called back, I had to wait a very long time in the queue again. Once I finally got through, the receptionist I spoke with was rude and impatient, repeatedly interrupting me, showing no interest in actually helping, and clearly trying to end the call as quickly as possible. I was given a phone number without any real explanation and the call was then abruptly ended.
Being spoken to in this manner, especially after such long waiting times, is extremely frustrating. The overall approach felt unprofessional and left a very poor impression of the service.
I am very disappointed with the level of customer service I experienced when trying to reschedule an appointment for my wife.
On Monday morning at 09:01 on 12/01/2025, I called and was number 2 in the queue. I spoke with a lady on reception regarding rescheduling multiple appointments. Before I had the chance to explain everything, I was transferred to a physician-related option for just one of the queries. No one answered there and the line dropped.
When I called again, I was number 25 in the queue and waited approximately 40 minutes. Eventually, I spoke with another receptionist who was extremely unpolite and dismissive. She kept interrupting me while I was speaking, clearly wanted to end the call as quickly as possible, gave me a phone number without proper explanation, and then hung up on me.
Hanging up on a patient who has already waited a long time and is calmly trying to resolve appointments is completely unacceptable. This was a very poor customer service experience and does not reflect the level of professionalism one would expect.
On hold for 40 minutes for a representative only for the line to cut out when got to number 2.
Rang back straight away and now back at 18. Absolute JOKE.
Also keep going in for a cough with me daughter she has 3 months now and there response is viral everytime.
Never heard of a viral cough for 3 months with these great doctors.
If I had option for no stars ye would get no stars.
I’m extremely disappointed with The Keogh Practice. Every time I try to book an appointment, the next available slot is more than a week away — most recently 11 days. This means that whenever I get sick, I have no choice but to see random doctors elsewhere, which defeats the whole purpose of having a GP practice.
During my last visit, I was prescribed several medications at once, without any consideration for my stomach or probiotics. I ended up feeling poisoned and seriously unwell. After consulting another doctor, I was told that the approach taken was completely unacceptable.
A GP practice should offer reasonable availability and safe, thoughtful care — unfortunately, this has not been my experience here
Only they care about is charge your card over the phone, calling your card details… not even using a data protection system….
Called into the practice on Ballybricken to schedule an appointment for ASAP.. the lady at the appointments desk glanced at me and could see how unwell I looked and offered me an emergency appointment and I was seen by a doctor within 30min. Thankyou very much to this kind and empathic lady ( sorry I didn't get your name ). The doctor also took great care of me also , she was very professional and really listened to my concerns.
