Avoid this Emergency Dept - it is NOT actually able to handle emergencies and will just refer you to a real A&E. A truly shocking experience - my wife required pain relief injection for Sciatica - we have full VHI cover and provided GP referral and detailed MRI - Mater Private were unable to assist in any way and wasted 90 minutes of our valuable time. A complete joke of an organisation - more akin to a hotel offering off the shelf medicines like Aspirin as a solution and charging extortionate rates. Don't waste your time - they are not capable of offering emergency medicine.

Was referred here by another urgent care as they have the labs and imaging facilities. Came on Monday morning just as they open, their busiest day. Managed to get diagnosed and leave by the end of the day. The registration staff explained how the payment with insurance works and when I will expect the bill. Do expect a lot of waiting.

Terrible experience! Do you know those places that are all about appearances? This is one of them. Very nice decor and high prices, but a terrible experience. Utterly careless! I had a broken bone after a fall, and they took 8 hours only to send me home with a prescription for paracetamol (to treat a pain level of 7). Furthermore, they told me my condition was "long-standing," even though I had never felt this pain before and my bone had a displacement of 1.32 cm! (I later found out that surgery is typically recommended for anything over 0.5 cm). The doctor just sent me home and told me to call if the pain persisted so we could schedule an MRI. Well, I tried calling every way possible, but I never succeeded, nor was my call ever returned! I had to go to another emergency service days later, where another doctor told me I might need surgery as soon as possible. This means the doctor at Mater Private Emergency was completely and entirely careless with my case. It felt like they just wanted my money; I didn't even have access to my X-ray results and had to redo them elsewhere. They haven't sent them to me after 16 days and counting! I didn't even get a receipt, as they failed to send that as well. Terrible! Don't go there. I would have been better off staying at home and taking paracetamol on my own!

Went in there at 8:30am and came out around 5:30pm with nothing but just a few tablets that my GP could have given me easily. I went it with a severe breathing issue and it took them 5 hours just to figure out that they have to send me to a respiratory specialist. It’s a joke this place. It was long long waiting period without any specific communication from the doctors and staff. I saw two doctors and one of them was a cardiac specialist, making fun of patients coming in. I had to ask the nurse if I can leave while they were having fun chatting with each other. Extremely poor management & unprofessionalism.

I attended this Clinic for a Cardiac issue which I hoped would go some way to resolving my problem. It was an excellent experience from all viewpoints. The nursing staff, specialists, carers, etc were so helpful and kind in equal measure. My experience was that of a well run medical centre with concern thrown in. It was also a speedy and efficient service and I had a full gamut of procedures carried out. From the Consultant to the Cleaner they were wonderful. (A special thank you to Linda for her kindness and efficiency).

Place you never wanted to have to visit but really well looked after if you do. Doctors were amazing & everything done promptly. Water & coffee free while waiting to be seen and food provided while waiting to get scans etc done.

Dr Derek Cawley was my surgeon for my Spine Operation( Lumbar Decompression and Discectomy ). I'm 4 months after the operation and I cannot speak highly enough about Doctor Cawley. From start to finish he was exceptional. So easy to speak to and put me at ease. A wonderful surgeon, I am feeling so much better at 80 years of age. I'm very grateful.

Very pleased with quick and efficient service for my 17 yr old who had episode of palpitations. She had triage , ECG, bloods and ECHO and met with very nice and knowledgeable consultant Prof Dayer all in under 3 hours. Keep up the great work !
