I’m over the moon with the results from my treatment at HRBR. The professionalism and the level of care that this team provide is absolutely incredible. I just had my six month check up and the transformation is wild. Confidence is a big deal for me and it’s great to feel myself again. If you’re looking for dirt cheap with a risk of things going bad, go abroad. If you want exceptional results and to feel like you are in the best possible hands, this is the spot.

From the minute you step through the doors of HRBR, it exudes professionalism, care, pristine cleanliness and warmth. I started my journey with HRBR several years back and I have never received the care and attention I did than with the clinic. The front of house staff are exceptionally welcoming, efficient and helpful in all areas, both in person and on the phone. My treatment has been with Dr Dmitri Wall since the beginning (it's been more than 3 years but I can't remember the exact date. Dr Wall is the most well researched, knowledgeable, sensitive and thoughtful medical professional I have ever attended. Each option is explained so thoroughly and how it may possibly interact with other medications or overall health. I have had several bad experiences with medical professionals in the past as I felt like I hadn't been listened to or taken seriously. My hair started to fall out in 2018 and from that moment, I felt like I was losing a huge part of my identity. It was dismissed as "stress" by a previous dermatologist and I was told there was absolutely nothing I could do to retrieve the hair. I would most like spend the rest of my life being bald. I feel incredibly lucky I had a second opinion and Dr Dmitri Wall offered several possible solutions including different types of medication, intravenous steroid injections and more. The huge difference was Dr Wall explained every painstaking detail about auto-immune diseases and how my alopecia areata which turned into alopecia universalis could have come about. I had been made to feel like it was my fault by previous doctors who said it was "obviously stress" and how my lifestyle factors (which were fairly healthy other than the alopecia) were a huge contributor to the hair loss. Dr Wall asks all his patients to fill in information about hair loss on wash days, loss of hair in eyebrows and lashes and about how that affects your ability to play sport or partake in sexual activity or attend work etc. This makes me feel so seen and heard and it's heartening to think that gathering this data will contribute to even more about the condition. In a few years, I have gone from being bald and wearing wigs to having a full head of hair with maybe three or four bald spots that can be covered up easily. Aoife, the head nurse is extremely helpful, skilled and personable and to be in her presence is to feel cared for on every level. Genevieve, Zoe and Fionnuala at the desk are fantastic and all the other women who work there are the epitome of professional. The clinic is pristine and entirely fit for purpose - they seem to think of everything. For example, when getting steroid injections into the head, they have a vibrating implement that distracts from the pain which is surprisingly effective. The bathrooms have Molton Brown soap and The Natural Soap Company hand cream which I absolutely love and the aroma is just beautiful. Any problems with prescriptions, the clinic is so quick to help and liaise effectively with GPs and the pharmacy. I owe so much to this clinic; it's worth every penny and if you ever get an appointment with Dr Wall, you are in the presence of greatness, good humour and a commitment to collating data that impacts real world knowledge. A stand-out professional who is no doubt a world leader in his field.

I arrived with a specific plan in mind for how I'd like my hair to look, and having researched medications including mixodilil and finasteride. However, when I met the surgeon he complained that I was "doing his job for him", and insisted on what he intended to do and not what I actually wanted. Especially, he was insistant that a man should have an M shaped hairline, and I wanted the area above my temples filled in. He also insisted that I not take medications until I reach my 60s, whereas I insisted that I didn't want to experience future hair loss and was willing to risk medication side-effects. My personal wishes were completely disregarded at this clinic. I cannot recommend them in any capacity.

I came to this place 13 years ago, in 2012, as I was starting to go bald. I was 20. They prescribed me finasteride, minoxidil, and ketoconazole. After 1 year on the treatment, I woke up on morning with a powerful brain fog, I was unable to get an erection, and my penis and testicles had become noticeably smaller. Over the course of the next months my condition degenerated, I became very depressed and anxious, and I barely scraped through university due being unable to focus. I lost touch with friends, my romantic relationship ended, and I lost about 8kg in muscle mass. Despite stopping the drug, the symptoms stayed and never went away. Finasteride was the only drug of the three I took for any significant amount of time. About 2 years ago (2023) my symptoms became significantly better, but I still live with the after effects. I lost my twenties to this treatment. It ruined me and completely altered the course of my life. I told HRBR as soon as this happened, in 2012. Yet through online forums I discovered other young men who had their lives destroyed by the same side effects, and they had been prescribed finasteride by HRBR after the date when I warned HRBR what the drug did to me. HRBR didn’t warn these patients of the risks, despite my reporting it to HRBR several times. I think this was negligent. In all the interactions I’ve had with them, their response has been “so sorry to hear this, please speak to your doctor.” I never got the feeling they either believed or really cared about what happened. Then at one point, they offered to waive their €200 consultation fee. That feels pretty puny compared to what they did to my life. Someone has to take responsibility for it: HBRB played their part. Dr O’Connor assured me the drugs were safe. If I could, I’d sue them for everything they’re worth. It is hard for me to put into words how much I wish I’d never stepped foot in their offices.

As soon as I entered HRBR and met the team, I knew I was in the safest hands. I had consultations in 4 clinics, and nowhere comes close to the level of professionalism HRBR has. I got the FUE transplant and I’m currently healing up. I was looked after so well and can already see positive results. If you’re thinking about a transplant, go in for a consultation and let them talk through your options. You’re not forced into anything and they very much leave the decision up to you. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

There are no words to describe how grateful I am every time I look in the mirror. In my twenties, hereditary balding began to take hold. I found myself constantly shaving my head to disguise the horseshoe shape of hair that grew back quickly—just not where I wanted it to. It was frustrating and exhausting. When I first learned about HRBR, I assumed they would be out of my price range, so I looked abroad. But the results I saw from overseas clinics were disappointing. After turning forty, I decided to book a consultation with the doctors at HRBR—and that decision changed everything. From my very first visit, I knew I was in the best hands. The doctors and medical team at HRBR are simply exceptional at what they do. Their skill, care, and professionalism gave me something priceless—my confidence and my hair back.

Excellent as always. Always very professional and I get looked after so well. I highly recommend HRBR. I got a hair transplant there 14 years ago and I was really happy with the results which have maintained for 14 years now so far. Without the transplant I'd be completely bald at this stage!!!!

5 star on every level. Aesthetic, medical, cleanliness, responsiveness, after surgery care and follow up, and personal touch. Cost is negligibly small for the high quality of service and long-lasting nature of results. Hands down the best hair restoration clinic in the world.
