I'm very grateful for the help I received when visiting the D-Doc on Friday evening. I rang for an appointment at 6PM and was called back in minutes and offered an appointment right away.
I first met the polite nurse and then the Doctor who was professional and empathetic. The Doctor was slightly unsure of how to treat me and sought the advice of another Doctor, who immediately identified that I had a swollen belly and sent me to AaE. It didn't notice this myself and was skeptical about being sent to the hospital for this reason.
The Doctor in the hospital diagnosed me with a hernia. So, I would like to thank both Doctors in the D-Doc, who without their care, I may not have gotten my hernia diagnosis.
Thank you.
Niall.
I honestly don’t know how they manage to staff this place with the kindest and most professional and caring doctors and nurses. The service is incredible.
I looked at the reviews and hoped for the best. I got the best too. Access is odd for people who do not know the area but I found it without much hassle.
Doctor and nurse were spot on and highly recommend them.
We went here with my partner tonight my partner was in a lot of pain I asked if we could get someone to help get my partner out of the car and the security guard Dylan was extremely helpful and kind to my partner and myself. The nurse was extremely kind as well. The doctor was extremely nice too but we wished that she had given my partner something there and then to help. But gave us a prescription to help ease the pain . We got the receptionist who really couldn't do enough for us. She rang our local hospital pharmacy and then offered to ring another local night pharmacy to have the place get it ready. But it was too far from where we were heading back to. She was an extremely nice lady. I've been to the d doc in Blanchardstown and this team in Ballymun could show them a thing or two. Thanks to all the team there
Honestly, I had read the reviews and expected the worst.
However, I had a really positive experience and wanted to share my positive review.
I had a health issue arise on a Sunday morning. I called the D Doc hotline and a nurse took all my details, sounded like she actually cared about my problem and managed to fit me in to the Ballymun D Doc GP Clinic later that same evening.
I didn't have to pay anything until I arrived at the Clinic. The triage nurse took my information in depth and apologised for any additional waiting time I might experience; as they were quite busy. The GP saw me only 20 minutes later. She was incredibly friendly, professional and took the time to explain my symptoms and what I could do to alleviate them.
I felt like I was actually listened to as a person and my needs were met. I was in and out within 45 minutes total with the prescription I needed and no fuss at all.
Thanks to the Nurses and GP's working hard on the weekends to give us the help we need!
Rang for a d doc appointment and was told no because my gp doesn’t sit in that office??? Since when does a OUT OF HOUR doctor not allow walk in clients make an appointment bear in mind my previous doctor sits in that office? Makes no sense when your paying private for a doctors appointment absolutely ridiculous! My own gp doesn’t have an out of hours office so what choice does we have now?
After using this service for more than 5 years, we were treated by a very rude woman handling the initial call. She only cared about following some silly rules about the location of your GP and not about offering a service to our sick kid. The doctors are great but it's a good idea to teach the rest of the employees what is the main goal of this service
Never full, never busy. Despite telling people over the phone that they are busy. Nurses sitting back on chairs with their feet resting on another one, having a laugh with the receptionist. Sometimes the nurse is behind closed doors with the doctor having a great laugh, despite patient waiting to be seen. Nice unprofessional centre here. One would be quicker curing themselves.
