I’m very happy with my experience at Beaumont Hospital. After a skiing accident in France and surgery in Grenoble on April 1st, I faced a long rehabilitation journey. We tried several hospitals in Dublin and decided to stay with this one and I’m so glad we did.
Thank you to all the staff for their professionalism, kindness, and excellent care. A special thanks to the orthopaedic clinic and the rehabilitation department — their support and expertise have made such a difference. The diagnostic equipment is very modern and reliable, which gives extra confidence. I’m still coming back every 2–3 weeks for follow-ups, but there’s clear progress, and that means the world.
I would like to say a very sincere thank you to all the staff at St. Peters Ward. Your care, kindness and dedication meant so much to us during a difficult time.
A special thank you to Dr. Kevin Sebastian and nurses Stacey, Sarah and Rosie for the way you looked after Richard. You went above and beyond to make sure he had everything he needed and your support truly made a difference.

If you are sick, this is the last place you want to be. I endured an 8-hour ordeal starting at midnight (via ambulance). I was triaged and then abandoned until 5 AM in a room that felt like a health hazard.
There is zero infection control. I watched a girl positive for Influenza A vomiting next to elderly patients who were there for falls. No masks, no separation. It was inhumane. I simply gave up and went home without treatment.
It is infuriating to pay over €2k in taxes/VAT and receive third-world service where you are safer at home than in the hospital. They even had the audacity to call me at 9 AM asking where I was. A broken system.
Forcing someone who wants to take their own life to sit in that a&e department for 4.5 hours (probably end up 10 hours had I stayed) is disgusting. No wonder there's so many suicides in this country. I couldn't sit there any longer, extremely overstimulating to the point I felt I'd lose control. Told the woman at the reception I was gonna leave, she told me to tell the nurse in the triage office, when I approached, I was met with a horrible judgemental nurse (not the one on the desk) who looked at me like I was dirt on her shoe. She was Asian. This was at 7.10 pm on 1st April 2026. I need psychiatric care, I have complex ptsd, a&e is no place for someone with those needs. More depressed now than I was when I arrived. Not surprising how many people self medicate in this country. Felt like I was in Kalcutta
I understand the hospital is busy and overcrowded, and I truly appreciate the doctors and nurses who are taking care of patients. My husband is being looked after, and for that I’m grateful.
But the parking situation is extremely stressful.
Today the multi-storey car park was full. It was my first time at the hospital, and I drove around three or four different areas trying to find public parking. There isn’t clear signage, and there simply aren’t enough spaces. After a while, I just felt overwhelmed. I’m claustrophobic, so the multi-storey isn’t easy for me anyway — but it was full regardless
Later, 30 minutes later after zi parked at the staff car park, my car was clamped. €100. Even though it was already afternoon and many spaces were empty. It felt harsh. It felt like no one considers that the people parking there are not shoppers or commuters — they are worried family members.
When someone you love is in hospital, you’re already anxious. You’re not thinking clearly. You’re just trying to get inside and sit beside them.
f this is how money is being made, then something is very wrong.
Provide more public parking spaces. Improve signage. Show basic compassion.
Hospitals should not profit from the distress of visitors.
Otherwise, this issue will continue to overshadow the good work being done inside the hospital.
Large (800 beds) teaching hospital affiliated with the royal college of surgeons. Disabled parking sites available. Looks small on the outside bit quickly turns into a maze when you enyer in. 3 floors of paid car parking, large car park for staff. 24 hour emergency service available. It's a major centre for neurosurgery and neurology. Has 2 main entrances. The private hospital is in same compound.
If I could score this hospital lower I most definitely would. The genius who decided to replace the adequate if not great out patient seating with the rubbish, cheap as chips, chairs in photo one should be sacked. Old people, persons with disabilities and even young, fit people with broken legs struggle beyond belief to get up from this rubbish as no arm support, no space and major falls risk. How hospital physios and ot's have let it happen beggars belief. The second photo is from a private hospital up the road. Ignore the nice leather and just note the arm rests and you might also notice that the chairs are at different heights and different widths which caters to everyone's needs. Beaumont is a disgrace!!!!!
Brought my mother for mri scan on arrival went to the desk lady was very nice and helpful and when she seen mam was unstable walking straight away got a porter to bring us dwn great service plus epilepsy nurse had to come dwn knock off her vns and when finished staff got porter straight bk dwn before leaving went into Costa coffee ☕️ which is nice and so is atmosphere 😀
