Hi everyone,my name is Aleksandr Kryvoruchek (just so u guys can check with your clinic)
This was, without question, the worst medical experience I have ever had.
I developed a serious skin condition while living in Cork, so in March 2026 I booked an appointment at this clinic, hoping to receive professional medical care. Instead, I left feeling completely ignored.
The consultation cost €190 and lasted around 15 minutes. The doctor barely spoke to me unless I asked questions. He looked at my skin for only a few seconds before diagnosing me with a skin mite infestation and prescribing very strong medication, which cost me another €100.
I followed the treatment exactly as instructed for an entire month. Instead of getting better, my condition became dramatically worse. The itching became unbearable, I couldn’t sleep, my skin continued to deteriorate, and my quality of life was destroyed.
I returned for a follow-up appointment and explained that the prescribed treatment had not only failed but had made everything worse. I also said I didn’t believe I should have to pay another €190 because the original diagnosis and treatment had clearly not worked. After some reluctance, I was seen again by the same doctor.
This time, after another extremely brief examination, he immediately gave me a completely different diagnosis without asking any meaningful questions. He now claimed it was ringworm and prescribed another course of very strong medication along with a cream.
Once again, I trusted his professional judgment and followed the treatment exactly as prescribed. Once again, nothing improved. I continued suffering, couldn’t sleep because of the constant itching, and experienced side effects from medication that ultimately proved unnecessary. In total, I spent around €300 while my condition became progressively worse.
Eventually, I sought a second opinion from another clinic. The difference was unbelievable. The doctors took the time to examine me properly, listened to my symptoms, and diagnosed me with atopic dermatitis. They also expressed serious concern about the treatment I had previously received and explained that the medication had placed unnecessary stress on my liver, requiring additional treatment afterwards.
They prescribed the correct medication, and within just two weeks my skin had almost completely healed. The itching disappeared, my hands recovered, and I finally got my life back.
I am sharing my experience because I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did. In my opinion, the standard of care I received at this clinic was completely unacceptable. I lost hundreds of euros, months of my life, and my health deteriorated because of repeated incorrect diagnoses and ineffective treatment.
I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone. If you value your health, I strongly encourage you to seek a second opinion before accepting treatment here.
I booked a skin assessment with Dr. Patrick and was very disappointed with the experience.
I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time, yet I was left waiting for over 40 minutes before being seen. While I understand that delays can occur, there was no communication or apology regarding the lengthy wait.
When I was eventually called in, the consultation felt rushed and lacked professionalism. I was brought into a room where the lights were turned off and a light was shone on my skin without any explanation of the process or what the assessment would involve. There was very little opportunity for discussion, and I did not feel that my concerns were properly heard or addressed.
A skin assessment should involve clear communication, an opportunity for the patient to explain their symptoms and concerns, and a thorough evaluation. Unfortunately, this consultation fell well short of those expectations.
Overall, I left feeling disappointed by both the lack of communication and the rushed nature of the appointment, which is why I am giving a one-star review.
This is definitely the worst experience I’ve had on my journey of improving my skin. €190 for a consultation in which the doctor basically gave me an ultimatum of Roaccutane or nothing. Dr Americo did not properly listen to any of what I had to say and he dismissed the fact that I had done a laser treatment that is a proven substitute for Roaccutane (Aviclear). It was clear he did not fully understand that the laser treatment I had done (Aviclear) was not cosmetic, however he did not ask any questions and essentially dismissed the before and after images I showed him. Despite saying I didn’t want to take Roaccutane for personal reasons including playing sport, he basically tried to guilt trip me saying that as a young person, I’m choosing alcohol over my skin and that I’d regret it later in my life, despite not knowing all the reasons as to why I did not want to take Roaccutane. He did not properly answer any questions about corrective procedures mentioned as a service on their website such as Subcision when they were brought up. He spoke to me as if I was a naughty teenager, rather than actually listening to his patient and providing other solutions to someone who CLEARLY did not want to take Roaccutane. I came to the Ailesbury Clinic (Cork) hoping to find a surgical procedure that could be done to help with my acne scarring, and instead left with €190 less than I went in with and a sour taste in my mouth. Atrocious service and I would leave 0 stars if it was an option.
I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care Caroline provided. Caroline's compassion, kindness and professionalism made my experience much more bareable as it was very hard for me to go through the procedure. Caroline even made a phone call to check up on me to see how are things going and I have never experience that before. All I can say is that Caroline is a sweethart and a star of the clinic. Beautiful and compassionate approach to every patient. Thank you,Caroline!
Ailesbury Clinic Cork is such a lovely experience. On opening the door you are met with professional friendly staff. Sabrina the owner such a lovely lady very professional and knowledgeable on everything skin related. Once you visit this clinic you will never go anywhere else. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was booked for Sculptra. Was given around 10pages to read, fill in and answer the questions beforehand. The doctor didnt even look at my answers and after quick chat started the procedure. I believe those questions regarding your medical condition ect are essential so this was extremely unprofessional. I put the questionnaires on her desk so 100% sure she did not even had a look. I started feeling unwell during the procedure. Was about to faint, started having headache so we stopped. I got some water and was trying to get some air. I simply said "I dont think we will continue" and first thing she said was "You will still have to pay coz I opened the product"...absolutely horrendous and unprofessional behaviour. I had to go to the toilet twice and had a lot of water as I felt really unwell. Also started having horrible abdomen pain and was a bit worried about the entire procedure. She kept encouraging me to continue the treatment but I decided to stop. Felt pretty disorientated and was about to vomit at the end. I left the place and only at home realised how I was treated in that clinic. Absolutely unprofessional and rude staff. Focused on money and financial side of the business only.
Wouldn't go back there for sure. There are different, more professional clinics in Cork
Great service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Treatments I got I wouldn't fault and wouldn't go anywhere else to get done either. Facial treatments are amazing here. You float when you leave. Catriona and Evelyn are very helpful and knowledgeable about what they do so you know you are in good hands. I would highly recommend it. I will definitely be a regular here. D
Laura was so lovely and made me feel so comfortable getting my spray tan done. It’s the best spray tan I’ve ever gotten, colour is great and has lasted ages. Can’t wait to come back again!
