I received a confirmation diagnosis with ADHDdoc in 2024 and I found the whole experience excellent. As many of the reviews have stated, there was a time when contact was difficult. This has been rectified. I've had to have appointments for comorbitities and when in need they have been there for me. They look at the whole mental health picture and not just ADHD and I have always felt cared for, listened to, understood and never judged. I highly recommend.
Awful clinic. I started the process with them in 2023 and had my first and 2nd apt in 2024. I have no diagnosis because despite repeated attempts to schedule a follow up they never answered my emails or phone calls. I have also requested a receipt for my second payment of €600 and once again, i was ignored. Disgusting treatment for people that are already vulnerable. Avoid, and take your money elsewhere to people with compassion and professionalism. I was assessed by a gp who was on her last day there; found her very pleasant but uselsss in terms of helping to diagnose / not diagnose me. Admin staff are woeful having lost my file twice which meant more paperwork. It’s taken me a solid year to leave this bad review because I have them multiple chances to reply to me and nothing. Very upset over it all considering it was a friend recommended them; it seems she just got lucky
UPDATE AND EDIT:
The clinic contacted me upon my review. I am delighted to report that they got in touch within a couple of days of the review going live. They were very happy to refund me and let me go elsewhere but i decided to stick with them after the recent positive reviews and that of my friend.
I met with a DR and completed my assessment; all staff were wonderful and so compassionate on the day. I also recieved a full refund which was an unexpected, but gratefully recieved, gesture.
I am now a converted customer and will continue going here. They explained they had issues with systems when i originally went to them. They took the bad review, learned from it and made it right; as customers, we cant ask any more! Thanks so much to the team and Dr Carty
Highly recommend ADHDdoc. Very, very pleased & impressed - having gone through an assessment and used their services for nearly 2 years now, I have only positive experiences to report. The assessment process was an extremely positive and professional experience. The consultations are thorough, personalised and responsive. The online portal is simple and easy to use, and the team available via phone are always supportive and proactive. Special thanks to Dr Columb, Dr Walsh, Una, Eve, and the extremely competent Michelle.
Five stars for excellent customer service! I previously struggled to get through on the phone lines a few years back, but today’s experience was outstanding. The call went through promptly, and Michelle went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend them and appreciate the great changes they have made.
I would like to give thanks and praise to the team at ADHDdoc. From the admin staff to the practitioners, I have been met with kindness and professionalism across the board. This has been a personal process and I have felt incredibly supported and heard along the way. I highly recommend going through ADHDdoc if you can, for me it has been a worthwhile investment and i'm grateful this service has made support accessible. Thank you!
I was diagnosed over the summer after being recommended this organisation by a therapist. The diagnosis process was grand and it was nice to get the confirmation. However the follow-up wasn’t very good.
We were investigating possible medicine. However, I had to get a consult letter from the cardiologist due to high blood pressure. The doctor said they’d take care of this consult and follow up with me when they could.
I then waited for several weeks before I tried to get in touch with them.
When I eventually got through about it I was told they hadn’t received the letter yet and to check with the cardiologist.
I called the cardiologist office who told me it had been sent several weeks previously, and the letter said I couldn’t use the proposed medicine.
I communicated this with the clinic who then found the letter and said they’d follow up.
Never got that follow up. At that stage I found it very difficult to keep up with this.
Ultimately, I am grateful for the diagnosis, but I don’t think I’d recommend going here if you have some complication, unfortunately.
ADHD Doc was the first service in Ireland to offer full circle care to people going through the assessment process. It involves a well-planned journey including screening, a session to discuss the results, medication management, and follow-up appointments. The staff are welcoming and create a safe space. We recommend their service to all of our clients and general queries that come in.
ADHD doc has been an absolute game changer for me. Dr Maria is amazing, she is so patient and kind and really understanding. Michelle in reception is absolutely lovely I’ve only ever had lovely experiences with the staff here. I’ve struggled with adhd and found it so hard to get help with it. My own gp didn’t feel that it was a priority and in general it’s difficult to find help with adhd in Ireland. 2 years ago I finally said enough is enough and made it my mission to get sorted. Finding ADHD doc has been such a relief and finally getting help in my thirties has been such a relief. It’s such a validating experience that I recommend it to anyone I know struggling with it.
