English is not my mother tongue language, therefore I had to take double efforts to learn both terms in English and Finnish. Dextra was recommended in a small Finnish-speaking LGBT parent group. Besides, I tried to join the parent-ship training for LGBT parents, and find co-parenting partners there. You can ask the advices from the doctor. Dextra in Ruoholahti is quite small and cozy. After a few visits, I have the feeling that they remember my face. You can get the rare medicine from the pharmacy nearby. Otherwise, you have to order them in advance from other pharmacies. The laboratory nurses got my blood samples much better than in Mehilainen, where the nurse failed and made me faint.

Complete waste of time and money. The doctor put me in an extremely uncomfortable position and insisted on undergoing a painful, intimate exam before we'd even had a discussion. Presumably so they could charge me more! After the exam, we talked for a few minutes and it was determined that this treatment wasn't a good option for me- not because of any assessments made from the exam but just from talking and discussing the treatment options. Therefore this painful expensive exam, that hurt for literally two weeks afterwards, was completely unnecessary! This place is also unfriendly and not a safe space for LGBT+ patients. This is based on my visit there. There was misgendering and heteronormative assumptions of my situation. The doctor clearly wasn't interested in getting to know me, my situation or indeed helping me. They just wanted to put me through as much pain and humiliation as possible, charge me as much as they could, then show me the door.
