After a lot of research, I made the decision to change from another surgeon and choose Dr Cem, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Like many people considering surgery abroad, I came across some negative reviews during my research, and I’d be lying if I said they didn’t make me hesitate. However, I also joined WhatsApp groups where I followed the journeys of women who had surgery with Dr Cem. Watching their healing, reading about their experiences, and seeing their incredible results gave me so much reassurance. Every question I had was answered honestly, and after seeing so many successful outcomes, I felt confident I was making the right decision for me.
From the very beginning, the kindness, warmth and professionalism shown by Dr Cem’s coordinator, Tareq, made a huge difference. Unlike many coordinators, he never made me feel like just another booking. He genuinely cared, always took the time to answer my questions, reassure me and put my mind at ease. Even now, at five weeks post-op, he’s still available whenever I need advice or reassurance. That level of care is rare.
The hotel arranged by Dr Cem was beautiful and only a short walk from BHT Clinic. Having Tema World just outside was also incredibly convenient, especially after surgery, as my companion could easily grab food, coffee or anything we needed without travelling far.
When I met Dr Cem for my consultation, I immediately felt at ease. He carefully assessed me and explained exactly what he wanted to achieve, what he would do, and just as importantly, what he wouldn’t do to ensure my safety and give me the best possible outcome. One thing I valued most was how well he managed my expectations.
Although I wasn’t originally quoted for an FDL tummy tuck, after examining me, Dr Cem explained why he believed it would give me the best result following my weight loss. He also explained what I could realistically expect if I chose not to have it. There was absolutely no pressure to make a decision. I was encouraged to take time, think about it, and ask questions before deciding to go ahead. That honesty and respect meant a lot to me.
On the day of surgery, I was incredibly emotional and nervous. Dr Cem could see how anxious I was, so he stayed calm, made little jokes and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. His confidence really helped settle my nerves.
Even once I was in the operating theatre, I became overwhelmed and burst into tears. Although none of the theatre staff spoke English, they didn’t need words to show compassion. They gently stroked my head and legs, held my hand and did everything they could to make me feel safe. It’s something I’ll never forget.
Throughout my stay in hospital, Dr Cem came to see me every single day. He was always gentle, calm and caring, checking on my recovery and making sure I was comfortable. I never felt like just another patient.
The hospital staff also exceeded my expectations. Every nurse and member of staff was kind and attentive. Although their English was limited, they understood enough to communicate well, and Google Translate filled in any gaps. I always felt completely looked after.
As for my results, I honestly couldn’t be happier. I had an extended tummy tuck, FDL and BBL after major weight loss, so my case wasn’t straightforward. Even though I’m only five weeks post-op, Dr Cem has completely exceeded my expectations. My scar is incredibly neat, my waist is beautifully defined, and my shape looks balanced and natural. His attention to detail is exceptional.
Choosing surgery abroad can feel overwhelming, but Dr Cem, Tareq and the entire team made the whole experience feel safe, personal and professional from start to finish.
Thank you, Dr Cem, for your honesty, kindness, skill and outstanding care. You have genuinely changed my confidence, and I’ll always be grateful to you and your team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone considering cosmetic surgery.
