I am deeply grateful to all of you. You treated me with great love and respect. The nursing staff, therapists, assistants, and the staff in general are highly efficient and professional. What really impressed me was having the head of the hospital come to my room almost every day to ask how I was feeling. It was a very positive experience. Jorge Ordinola

A long overdue review to the wonderful care team @ Encompass Rehab Hospital that I had during my stay. My stay was, 10/10/25 to 10/21/25, RM 142, my opinion, the best wing there. Not only were they my caregivers & more than my care team, they became more like an extended family, with all their own distinct personalities. They were funny, caring, hardworking & tolerant when some of us were not. I enjoyed meeting, sharing & learning from each of them. All the RN’s, Techs, PT, OT, Group Therapy , food service all went above & beyond to see that my needs were met. I thank each one of you for your services & taking care of me. I have an extensive list of everyone I met & it’s a long one below mostly in the order that I met each of you. Assuming I didn’t leave anyone out; there were just so many of you. Not mentioned I also made a few friends along the way with fellow patients. I was discharged from NCH and was transferred to Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital for 10 days April of 2026. I have been to other Rehab facilities in the past. Encompass by far is the best in the area. My therapists Katlyn, Ryan, Vanessa were awesome. Most of the nurses and tech were great. Doctor Presley was fantastic. The food was restaurant quality. If you need rehabilitation this is the place to go. God bless the staff of Encompass.

The rehab facility did an amazing job helping me to walk again, beginning in day one there. The PT stag was amazing and worked tirelessly to get me back on my feet. They worked to stretch & strengthen my muscles and helped me to leave in just a week. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing transitional support when leaving the hospital.

In two weeks at Encompass I enjoyed exceptional care, excellent physical therapy and food to look forward to! Some aptly refer to Encompass as the Ritz Carlton of rehab hospitals. They are right. Excellent!

My mom was transferred to this rehabilitation facility after hip surgery. She’s 81 years old and has missing toes on her opposite leg so she has stability issues. She had fallen in the beginning of the month and broke her femur bone. After surgery she was having trouble recovering from anesthesia and wasn’t very aware of what had happened. We were told she would be checked into Encompass for 14 days but after 7 days, Encompass decided she had enough rehabilitation. It was very unclear why since they were scared to let her even walk to the bathroom alone or brush her teeth without being in a wheelchair. I should mention that she was fully capable of walking without assistance of a person prior to the surgery. When they mentioned discharge, my mom said she was not ready and stated she was not stable enough to walk and she didn’t feel confident with her abilities. She was visibly scared. For her discharge assessment, they had her walk across their gym with a walker, cautiously guiding her from behind - that was the full assessment. She was shaky and unsteady. The case manager and nurse both stated she was not ready to be alone. But she lives alone! When I brought my mother to her house, she fell asleep on a chair for a while. When she woke up she needed to use the restroom, so I went over to her to help her get up. She couldn’t get out of the chair. I tried to help her but couldn’t. It took her nearly a half hour to gain strength to lift herself out of the chair. I just can’t imagine what Encompass was thinking. She is not in any way rehabilitated and I don’t have the strength to lift her. Three hours later the exact same thing happened, my mom needed to go to the bathroom but didn’t have the strength to get out of her chair. When she finally did, she almost collapsed on the floor. I had to try to hold her up while trying to get a chair to put under her at the same time. I just can’t understand for the life of me how someone can be discharged in this condition.

It is currently 1:30 AM on 6/23/26, and I am checking myself out due to my experience. Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing. The nurse I interacted with was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful, which made an already difficult situation even more stressful. From the moment I arrived, I felt that my care was not being prioritized. During my first few hours at the hospital, there seemed to be a significant focus on taking photos for my profile and ensuring the doctor could see my face in the computer system, while my immediate concerns, comfort, and pain management appeared to take a back seat. As a patient seeking medical care, this was frustrating and gave me the impression that administrative tasks were being prioritized over patient care. Pain management was also a major concern. It was very difficult to receive pain medication when needed, and even after I was told medication would be provided, there were significant delays before I received it. As a patient in pain, timely care and communication are essential, and I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. Another concerning issue was that multiple nurses openly complained about being short-staffed. While I understand that staffing challenges can occur, hearing staff repeatedly discuss being understaffed raised concerns about the hospital’s ability to provide timely and effective patient care. It also appeared to contribute to delays in treatment, responsiveness, and communication throughout my stay. I had not even been at the facility for 24 hours, yet my experience was overwhelmingly negative. Patients come to the hospital expecting compassionate care, professionalism, respect, and prompt attention to their medical needs. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and reviewed by hospital leadership so that future patients receive the level of care, urgency, respect, and attention they deserve. I do want to point out that Jodie and Christina were amazing. They were respectful and helped me where they could.

I was well taken care of by nurses and assistants, and especially rehab staff. Eduarda and Farrah, my physical therapists, were both knowledgeable and pushed me to my limit. Eduarda, my main PT, knew what to do, when to do it, explained things well, and helped my progression for discharge. My OT, Bridget, was also competent and caring. All rooms were private and I would recommend Encompass to anyone. Another big plus—the food was great!
