My gp has retired so thankfully I got to move to another practice. Drs Larry Curtin and Phillipa Quinn have been THE best Drs, but because they are so good I rarely got an appointment with them, even tho I have been their patient for 26 years.
Nurses are great. I think relationship with GP is one of the most important ones and this can't happen as I never got to see the same Dr, so feels more like A and E.
I had cancelled an appointment through their website but was made to pay the 15.00 fee or they would take me off their books. I had emailed to dispute this but they were adamant.
Reception staff always seem to be under huge pressure.
I am grateful that I had medical care and they all did the best in a very very busy practice but I am also glad to have been directed to a small and personal new gp practice
Can't understand the poor reviews for the square 🤔 which in my opinion is excellent and completely staffed with nothing but professionals,
Here are my thoughts 💭
Every time I have ever rang the clinic the phone is always answered. Appointment given
I've never had a problem getting an appointment here. But thankfully my appointments are non emergency or critical but I do know (I think)?that afternoon appointment's are reserved for patients who have an emergency or are very ill..
The clinic is extremely clean and well presented airy, lovely open design AND maintained to a very high spec, spacious and welcoming.. the toilet facilities are amazing(i've IBS, believe me )
The waiting seats are very comfortable and the clients are always good for a chat, even if they're there in sometimes very strained & difficult circumstances (I found)
My waiting time from into the clinic to seeing the doctor and out again was 45 mins
I'm patient enough to wait that period.(No pun intended) To get seen by a proper professional and get diagnosed properly
The doctor was excellent 💯 👍
My only beef-,and I wouldn't have known only a few people mentioned it to me last time I was in was the removal of the seats up by were the Doctor/nurses offices is because people with hearing problems were saying they can't hear the doctor/nurse calling their name 🧏♂️🧏♀️ maybe have a look at that.
Overall, the square medical is excellent and I would recommend it 👍👍👍
I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Conor McKiernan. From my very first appointment, he showed exceptional care and dedication. He listened attentively and followed up with genuine concern. Even after I changed my number, he persisted in checking in on my well-being, demonstrating a level of commitment that is truly rare. His compassion and professionalism have made a significant impact, and I am incredibly grateful to have him as my doctor.
I can't say a bad word. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a time when I came every day to have my dressing changed for a dead wound. The nurses who looked after me were simply angels (Grace and Lorna. I hope I spelled that correctly.) The receptionists are full of professionalism, always with a smile and a desire to help. I've never had a problem.
Attended today for an non standard appointment,exceptional service,as always on the front line Alannah dealt with the situation with professional excellence,went above and beyond the call of duty,she's a keeper,deserves a pay rise,Dr Charles..brilliant work
Kept saying I won't leave a negative review, but that's it! It takes ages for them to answer the phone, rang 5 times to let them know I will be 5 min late,no one answered and finally to be told I lost my appointment, still went there, 38w pregnant and they refused to see me for 5min. Absolutely no empathy ATT ALL!
Another time the doctor never sent the prescription to the pharmacy, so had to wait for the whole weeknd to get back to him.
The best clinic I was ever at, the girls at reception/office are fantastic, well mannered, extremely helpful, they just can't help u enough an a wonderful Doctor called Dr. NIAMH KING.......... WE ARE SO LUCKY 2 HAVE THOSE GREAT PEOPLE.
The system is terrible, receptionists are the worst.Unable to reach someone on the phone, and even when I got my ill son to the place, I was informed that I couldn't schedule an afternoon appointment. Instead, I was told that the practice's next available appointment was in three days. Lack of empathy and disregard for human life
