POSITIVE REVIEW from MARIE KIRBY: I have been attending The Menopause Hub for 5 years now. Each appointment let it be in person or virtual has been extremely helpful, informative and professional. The admin and receptionist team have always been efficient and courteous whenever Ive spoken with them. When dealing and coping with Menopause, I knew that everything wasn’t going to be fixed overnight. Dr Genevieve was hugely supportive and has been guiding me through this difficult period of time with the utmost respect, and patience of course.
I have been attending the Menopause Hub for a few years now and my experience has been very positive. Navigating the complexities of perimenopause and a failing thyroid has been very challenging. My own GP is great, but I really needed support of a doctor that has specialist expertise in this very poorly understood/misunderstood area. The ability to have video consultations is also a big advantage as I try to juggle work, home and waning hormones.
The most important thing for me is that the Menopause Hub cares for its clients, they don't expect the client to be pushing for appointments, follows up etc. They guide, support, follow up and arrange with you what suits your timescale.
This service is a lifeline for women, especially those with severe symptoms that make managing daily life a massive challenge. Their depth of experience allows me to feel comfortable that they know how to help, what to try and monitor your progress.
Everyone is different and it takes time to get a balance right for each of us, but knowing you have a healthcare provider who cares ,gives you the comfort and support you need to navigate this time of life if a god send.

I started menopause in my early 40's during the height of the concern about HRT and so did not go on it. For the following 20 odd years I experienced regular bouts of intense anxiety and depression needing hospitalization on 3 occasions. A chance comment by another patient alerted me to the fact that it was not too late to do something about the menopause. Put simply -encountering the Menopause Hub has transformed my life. I cannot praise Loretta and her team too much. I found support, kindness and professional competence on every visit. Now nearly a year after starting HRT I feel a totally different woman and family and friends have noticed the change. The big lesson is that the Menopause is not a time bound change event - it is a whole new stage of life which should be treated as such. Women don't suffer in silence - please get the help you need.
Feeling let down once again by this clinic! The care I received from Dr.Orla from July-Nov '25 was very good but very restrictive hours (only worked there Wednesdays) but the level of communication with the reception staff was so poor. I frequently addressed this issue and other reviewers experienced similar problems but nothing much was ever rectified.
Due another appt this month May, and once again, they've dropped the ball! My Doc has resigned God knows when? Last appt was in November. No one even bothered to email/call me. Replacement Doc is booked up another 2 weeks and my insomnia has kicked in again about a month now, bringing other mental health issues with it and now at my wits end. Menopause is a serious thing but don't feel taken care of at all. Bad form Loretta Duignam and at the money you charge us patients I expect alot more!!

I have been to countless doctors about my menopause - dozens over the last few years. So many I can't even count. All of them were useless until I went to the Menopause Hub.
Dear God in heaven, why did I not go here first? To say that it was life changing is no mere statement, it's a fact. My children find it possible to live with me now in peace which says it all, really. My symptoms have vanished and I haven't felt this good in four years. Plus - unexpected side bonus - I look younger? Not sure how that happened but I'm not complaining!
Honestly should be required for every peri-menopausal woman in Ireland. Please don't leave it like I did, needlessly suffering at the hands of eejits when a brilliant resource is staring you in the face. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Just go, you won't regret it, I promise!
The Menopause Hub is an absolute life saver. They take their time to really listen, understand and respond to my not straightforward needs; they are so well informed and offer newer choices alongside established treatment; they understand the pharmacy challenges and offer solutions for low stock - recommending pharmacies that have stock and can post etc. I cannot recommend the team highly enough.
Having been a patient with the menopause hub for a few years I would highly recommend, they have a high level of expertise and most up to date research around womens hormonal health, you know you will be heard at your appointment, which is so important for women, thank you for such an important and essential support and service you provide !
