As somebody who grew up avoiding and dreading the dentist, I'm so glad I was recommended Shandon Dental. The admin team are super helpful, especially in an emergency, and have brilliant communication processes. The hygienists are lovely and professional, and the dentists are efficient, understanding, and just top notch all round. I never feel judged, and no procedure is done unless absolutely necessary. Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Seamus highly enough. I am an extremely nervous dental patient, and from the moment I arrive, he is so aware of that and does everything he can to make me feel comfortable and at ease. I have since moved to Kerry, but I still make the journey back to Seamus for all of my dental work because I trust him 100%. That says everything about the confidence I have in his care. He is incredibly gentle throughout every procedure and always takes the time to explain exactly what he is doing. If I ever need an additional procedure or treatment, he clearly explains what it involves and why it’s necessary, which really helps to ease my anxiety. Nothing ever feels rushed, and he is always so patient, understanding, and accommodating. His calm manner and genuine care make such a difference, and I always leave feeling much more positive than I expected. If you’re someone who gets anxious about visiting the dentist, I genuinely couldn’t recommend Seamus enough. He provides exceptional care and always puts his patients first.

I recently attended this clinic for a dental filling. The procedure itself was completed, and initially I felt grateful that the issue had been addressed. However, my overall experience was disappointing. The communication and customer care from the dentist felt quite distant and lacked empathy. At the time, I tried to overlook it, assuming it might have been just a difficult day. Unfortunately, later that same evening my pain became significantly worse, and by the next day I developed a severe abscess. On Saturday morning, I contacted the clinic as I was unable to manage the pain and simply needed help with an antibiotic prescription. I was very surprised that no support was offered. I was placed on an emergency list, but no one followed up or contacted me. Being left in that condition without assistance was extremely stressful and unacceptable. While the treatment itself was completed, the aftercare and patient support were not at an appropriate standard. I would strongly recommend improving communication, empathy, and especially emergency response for patients experiencing complications.

I don't want botox. I don't want veneers. I don't want teeth whitening. I want an urgent extraction of the painful tooth that you ruined. You filled my tooth three times and three times the filling fell out within a few days or weeks. My tooth hurts a lot, but you only offer me an appointment in 10 days???? Isn't there an emergency tooth extraction service? I was in your office a while ago, which is empty. I asked to give me a referral for an emergency tooth extraction, but you sent me home and gave me an appointment in 10 days. Shame!!! You are not here to help patients, but to take their money. The worst experience of my life

This is the nicest dental practice myself and my family have ever been to. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The dentists and dental nurses are kind, non judgemental and provide excellent care. I want to especially commend the dentist TJ, who has been wonderful with my 8 year old, who needed quite frequent visits recently. TJ took the time to engage with him on a level a child could easily understand and gave ample breaks and encouragement through treatments. Prior to our last visit, my son told me he would miss TJ and really, you can't say better than that! Overall, I can't speak highly enough of this practice.

I would not go passed Neil and TJ they are so professional. I am always looked after by dental nurse Ciara. Definitely recommend such a friendly and welcoming practice.

Always a pleasure to visit the team at Shandon Dental. The most friendly environment (yes, even for the dentists!) and I always receive great care. Neil takes his time to explain everything about your care plan and I felt fully supported through big and small decisions. Likewise anyone I deal with at reception have always been so helpful. Would recommend highly, a fantastic practice and team.

I'm very pleased with the solid job done. My crown feels just like a real tooth. Also TJ took the time to explain much of the background information which I found very helpful.
