I've had a great experience with Dental 8 Clinic on Shannon Street and Cornmarket.
I originally went in thinking I had chipped tooth, and to have just regular check up, but it turned out to be decay. The team fixed it quickly and after x-rays, found few other issues I didn't realize I had, I've since had treatments, including deep cleaning, and I'm really glad I got everything sorted.
Dr O'Connell is honestly the best dentist I've had in years- so patient so kind and reassuring. My hygienist Dr Veres you've also been amazing, You are AWSOME! :)
I've always been very nervous about dental visits, but they were understanding and helped me through it all. I feel much more comfortable going to the dentist now.

I had an excellent experience at this dental surgery and would highly recommend it. From the moment I arrived, the level of care was outstanding and truly deserving of five stars.
Both the dentist and the hygienist I saw provided exceptional, individualised care and customer service. They took the time to listen, were incredibly professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit.
I particularly appreciated how empathetic they were towards my fear of injections. Their calm, understanding approach really helped to ease my anxiety, and they showed genuine compassion at every stage.
The reception staff were also very welcoming and friendly.
Overall, such a lovely team—kind, patient, and highly skilled. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
This was my first time visiting No.8 Dental Clic in Cornmarket and it was a really pleasant experience. Kate was my Hygienist and she was a credit to the Clinic. Kate was friendly, very gentle and explained everything she was about to do. Absolutely no problem receiving the treatment and extremely happy withe the results.

Professional & clean. Have been a client for a few years mainly for checkup, polishing & fillings. Larger than usual job this year, replacement tooth. Staff advised options and made procedure relatively painless. Also staff communicate well. They rang about a cancellation and asked if I'd like to attend to get 2nd part of procedure done quicker. Saved me taking afternoon off work. Good advice on claiming tax back on dental procedures too.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
Before attending my appointment, I called the clinic and clearly explained my Medical Card situation. I was told that the clinic would check the details and call me back. They did call me back and confirmed everything, so I attended the appointment believing there would be no issue.
When I arrived, I was suddenly told that I had to pay €75. I explained multiple times that I had already discussed my circumstances with the clinic and that I had only attended because they had confirmed my appointment after reviewing my situation. Nobody seemed interested in listening to what I was saying.
The receptionist was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Rather than trying to understand what had happened, she spoke to me as though I was the problem. To make matters worse, I was then told that if I wanted to cancel the appointment, I would have to pay a €30 cancellation fee. I was shocked. The entire issue had been caused by the clinic's own failure to communicate properly, yet I was being expected to pay for their mistake.
The manager's attitude was even more disappointing. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she was aggressive, confrontational, and spoke to me in a way that I found completely unacceptable. I was not asking for special treatment—I was simply asking not to be charged because the clinic had given me incorrect information. Rather than taking responsibility for what had happened, I felt blamed and attacked.
After a long and unnecessary argument, they finally allowed me to leave without paying, which only confirmed that the charge should never have been demanded in the first place.
Mistakes can happen in any business, but what matters is how those mistakes are handled. The complete lack of accountability, poor communication, and disrespectful treatment I received left me feeling humiliated and extremely upset. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who expects professionalism, honesty, or basic respect from healthcare staff.
Brilliant service, both my daughter and myself had dental work done, everyone was very welcoming and professional made us both feel very comfortable. Brilliant at dealing with nervous patients. I would highly recommend
Highly recommend this clinic! I had a teeth cleaning here and am absolutely delighted with the service. The place is spotless, and the staff are lovely. A special thanks to Dr. Deya — he was extremely attentive and professional. Will definitely be back! ✨
In my opinion to have a succesful crown you need a very good dentist to perform this task.At No. 8 clinic my dentist was Dr Ester.She performed this task which included a root canal perfectly with a right first time approach at all stages of this procedure.
She also performed a very difficult filling where I had a large gap in my tooth (no asking how does your tongue feel against back of tooth etc).
A true perfectionist and exceptional young dentist with a very calm and professional assistant helping both making a great team.
I am back in a few months for my second front tooth crown.I can fully endorse Dr Ester at No.8 clinic and have no hesitation in recommending her to your customers.
