Was in the national rehabilitation hospital for 4 and half months after a bad accident last year I don’t even have words that I could say about this place they have helped me through hell and back with the kindness and respect everyone who works there they should be very proud of them self’s of what they do the staff was high marks would highly recommend to friends and family
I have attended the limb fitting clinic here for the last 40 years. Their last effort at building me a prosthesis ended in me leaving after 4 failed attempts and 9 months wasted. In recent years they have contracted out the building of prosthesis to a company called Opcare. Their technicians and facilities fell short and were the reason that I had to part company with NRH. I wish I'd left years ago. I now attend A.P.O.S. and also Otto Bock in Cork and it's been a revelation to see their advanced technical skills. My advice is to shop around.
Good place to be. Very supportive staff. Teaching and caring for patients. Some activities even available for outpatients, after being inpatient. Has pool, gym, athletics room. Big airy rooms. I would say, they have all the staff needed for hospital. Wheelchair clinic available as well (in patients only). All required medication and equipment available almost in 1 working day. Very impressive. Would take 1 star off for overprotective actions, but it is my personal issue. Otherwise, they are very good. Days out as well, when nice weather. Has a cafe on ground floor and only couple vending machines. Coffee is good. Water as well.
I would like to Thank Dr Raymond Carson and the Team I had after my stroke back in 2021. They got my back on my feet within 4mths after been there they are a God send. And Pine Unit astaff too. I would like to say a Big Big Thank you to them All..
Very good hospital. He helped my daughter literally get back on her feet. I would like to thank all the staff at this hospital. First of all, physiotherapists. God bless you...... Thank you very much.
Good facility and supportive staff. it would be better if the physiotherapist themselves attend to patients rather than asking physiotherapy assistants to do that…
12 yrs old, Road Traffic Accident 6 weeks in a Coma.
Then sent to The Rehabilitation Centre, 40 years later all is good.
After completing Physiotherapy Therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy ect.
