Fantastic visit with Dr Ronan Cormican yesterday. I have been with this clinic for over 15 years and have always received great care and support, but yesterday Dr Cormican went above and beyond, looking into my health issues. Hands-on attitude - he performed several tests and checks on the spot and advised me of a going-forward plan. I almost felt guilty taking so much of his time, as I definitely went over what was allocated to my visit. I can't complement this clinic enough. Thank you.
I’m not one to complain as I too work in the medical field and understand the stress staff have to endure on a daily basis.. but in this occasion I’m furious…, Both mum and myself have been patients for over 30plus years always had positive experiences with doctors and nurses there, and the receptionists are very helpful and nice to deal with.
But over the years this has changed..
since the departure of Dr Patrick Lee everything seems to have gone south…,
the manner of the receptionists is a joke , so rude and uncourteous..
Mum was suffering with an eye condition and it took a week to get an appointment of which I was informed to ring there famous hotline at 8am every morning to get an emergency appointment… , of which I was doing so and kept been given the same ole story !!!! NO APPOINTMENTS…!! I had to argue with the receptionist to hold an appointment slot as I was unsuccessful with the emergency line , very reluctant in giving the appointment.. We arrived down to the surgery 30mins ahead of time as we didn’t want to be late for our appointment.. Mum checked in and was asked to pay prior to even being seen..!!! I couldn’t believe it? It seems everything is money racked.. She was in less than 20mins and no meds were given just a referral onto the Mater.. !!!!
So very disappointing in the service….
I attended this GP last week as my college was providing 3 free visits. I took advantage of this and booked in to get my bloods done. When I went for the consultation I was asked for medical history. I said I have PCOS. I was so horrified when Dr. Broderick said no you don’t there’s a big difference between having cysts and having PCOS. Basically implying that I shouldn’t say I have PCOS even though the hospital diagnosed me. I broke down in tears as i felt so invalidated. I have been diagnosed by my GP at home and the hospital. Why was he saying I’ve lied? Why would I do that? Could he say you don’t have PCOS just by looking at me? It was absolutely ridiculous. It’s just a non-stop cycle of women being invalidated by male doctors. I was then told “if I ring you and tell you to sit down, it’s bad news”. I just felt like that was an appalling thing to say as I left the room. He made it so difficult to get my bloods done. If I want them done, I’m allowed to get them done it’s not illegal. One week later I received a text saying “I am happy with your results”. I don’t receive a phone call or a physical copy of the results. I’m just appalled at this experience. Was it because it was being funded by the college? Don’t take on that scheme if you don’t want them as patients. I have to say the nurse was so friendly and the receptionists were more than helpful. It’s such a shame that Doctor Broderick let the practice down.
I've had a very good experience with this clinic for the past couple of years. The doctors, nurses and other receptionists were outstanding except to this particular receptionist that I spoke to today at around 13:42 to 13.48. She was very rude and apathetic. I forgot to ask her name but she's not helpful in any way.
I was stuck in a traffic and was obviously late to my appointment. I rang to let the clinic know and was hoping for any chances to get rescheduled later this afternoon but that certain receptionist was strongly and with conviction was saying shes cant squeeze me in because there are no doctors available and my GP cant wait for me to arrive.
I understand that I cant be re scheduled but the way she handles the conversation is so imtimidating and as if shes not willing to provide any help like giving me an option to reschedule it on another day .
She didnt provide any solution, instead she made me feel that I am to be blame for. She sounded like she was talking to a moron, she kept saying "do you understand" over and over in our conversation.
I hope she will undergo some customer service training whoever she is.
I have been a patient in this practice for 40 years and I can safely say the all the doctors are great.
But its is easier to get a meeting with the Pope then it is to see a doctor. I tried to book a consultation in advance as I know how hard it is and I find the reception staff are very unaccommodating and quite blunt.
I feel I may need to move to a new practice as this is becoming all to common when I call. I nearly have to beg to see a doctor.
I am very happy with the excellent standard of care in this practice. This is particularly reassuring as a new parent. I was impressed with Dr Mac Eoin, who helped me carry my bags and was very considerate, patient and thorough when examining my little boy. I also think the nurses here are absolutely wonderful. So caring, attentive and very professional. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful too. I would have no problem recommending, especially to parents of young children.
All the staff (reception, nurses and doctors) are always so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to respond and support. I’m always struck by friends’ negative experiences of other surgeries and think how lucky we are to have such a great service in this practice.
My mother has attended this clinic for decades, and the care she receives from the entire team is nothing short of exceptional. She has asked me to post this review on her behalf. I have also attended this clinic in the past, and can echo her endorsment. They deserve to be applaused for their approach to medicine and compassionate care of their patients overall wellbeing. We can't recommend them enough.
