I’ve been going to this medical centre for years and never had an issue. Recently I had to go for an echocardiogram due to being rushed into hospital in December with chest pains. 2 weeks after my echo I emailed the reception asking if they’ve received my results. They hadn’t received them. A day later I emailed again for an update and Kensia the receptionist had then emailed me back saying “no we haven’t received them and there is no need to email daily.” I work in healthcare myself and you are trained to be respectful and empathetic with patients/clients. This is no way to speak to a patient.
Showed up at 10:20 for my appointment at 10:30 it is now 11:20 and still no sign of getting my name called staff are slow lazy and unprofessional. There is always something when attending this medical practice it is never a smooth process and I’ve been coming here my whole life even as a young child I remember having difficulties here I would stay well clear and I will be making the well overdue decision to change gp.
Such a pity, the doctors and nurse staff lovely here, and always counted myself lucky with the receptionists Emma and Sandra over the the years. But recently they appear to have new reception staff and they're the rudest bunch I've ever met. I've heard them talking down to poor vulnerable elderly people, concerned mothers, and others. Recently I was waiting to check in and they were all huddled behind the closed glass window chatting about their weekend plans while the que grew and then had the audacity to ropp their eyes that people who had being queing for 5 mins were "5 mins late" at check in!! The woman with the big curly hair potentially rudest of them all. Have heard her on more than one occasion tell a patient "if you don't like it tuff" in relation to appointment times - shouldn't be working with the general public if you have no people skills, nevermind the vulnerable/sick. Hate to give 1 stars because Ciara, Maureen, Dr McClusker and Dr McCarthy all wonderful - but reception staff hugely letting them down.
8 years ago my 2 years child got very strong throat infection. 3 days very high temperature 39 and almost 40 decreases.
I was trying to explain this to doctor McCuskey .English is not my first language, but I didn't finish talking about high temperature and ect and he said give paracetamol no need antibiotics.
But I have asked please I think child needs antibiotics, she is very weak and strong sore throat, white tongue, looks like bacteria.
Doctor did not check child No throat check No chest check Nothing
Never that happened with small child when I had appointment with others doctor.
I was ignored and I should reported this but now is too late .
I called taxi to private doctor:spend 150e total including visit and got antibiotics.
I didn't have too much money that time.
Doctor told that child need antibiotic and was very bad with her.
I had stress because of this.
I do not recommend this place as a regular doctor. I am a patient with a medical card and I have to wait 8 to 14 days for an appointment. So you have to plan your illness at least a week in advance. Generally, the service is nice, but first you have to be lucky to call and make an appointment
One of the worst medical professionals I've ever interacted with. Anytime I've been on the phone reception have been fine if a little cold but they're not the issue. The doctor is legitimately the rudest doctor I could imagine. After telling him multiple times and very serious issues that can not go untreated, he waved me away and put me on medication even after it was clear that was not the solution. After I had told him exactly was wrong he ignored me. Only when I begged and after months got shuffled to someone else did I get told I was exactly right.
Never ever going back there.
The receptionist there is quite rude. She talks to you in a condescending manner and has too much pride to admit whenever she does a slight mistake. The doctors there are alright. They tend to brush off your situation though and I wish they handle your problems a bit more thoroughly.
Between myself and my husband, rang 14 times throughout a 5 hour window yesterday and got no answer. An online booking system wouldnt go amiss if youre not answering phones. Finally managed to get someone only to be told it's over a weeks wait to see a doctor. Wouldn't want to be sick
