Outstanding Service!
Friendly Staff and Caring Doctors.
My previous doctor never showed empathy - So glad I followed up on a recommendation to switch to Canada Street Medical ;)
Thank you "Canada Street Medical" for being nice to me x
Canada street medical centre Waterford is not fit for purpose and is running a rush them through in 90 seconds policy. I attended unable to breathe and swollen face and right side of my body and the doctor said I had a histamine reaction but no blood test & I tried asking a question as I was terrified the doctor barked i don't have time for this & usher me to leave. He's 50 stones in weight which is a disgusting example to Irish health and shows deep psychology issues
I’ve had a consistently positive experience with this GP. They are always attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. I appreciate how they take the time to listen and explain things clearly, never making me feel rushed. The support and guidance I’ve received have made a real difference in managing my health. The clinic is also well-organised, with friendly staff and efficient appointment scheduling. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate healthcare provider.

I’ve had a consistently excellent experience with my GP Dr Brousianos. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely care’s about my well-being. Appointments are handled efficiently, and I always feel heard and supported during consultations. He takes the time to explain things clearly, offer thoughtful medical advice, and follow up when. I truly appreciate their professionalism and compassion. Highly recommended!
The doctor is very professional, helpful and kind with alot of knowledge and insight. He listens and gives alot of support and advice where needed. I'm very grateful for him as he does go above and beyond. The receptionist team are quick helpful and have great manners while getting you seen by the doctor in a short space of time. As a small practice i find them very efficient :)
Had a mixed experience with the reception team. While most of the receptionists are helpful and attentive, I did encounter an issue with one of them.
The doctor is fantastic, and with the exception of that one incident, the majority of the staff are great. Overall, it's a good place with a caring team.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been the most disheartening and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with a GP practice in Ireland. I had no choice but to stick with this GP throughout my pregnancy simply because finding a GP in Ireland is a struggle—but I truly regret every visit.
The GP lacks even basic understanding of medications. I was prescribed HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) for lupus, and he told me I was on the wrong medicine, unaware that HCQ is the same as Plaquenil. As a dentist myself, this kind of ignorance was shocking and unacceptable. He gave vague and irrelevant answers when I asked for pregnancy-related advice, including dietary guidance—talking about general food groups like carbohydrates and proteins instead of giving focused, practical advice.
My first visit was another disappointment. I had gone in to confirm my pregnancy and was charged €60, not for confirming the pregnancy, but because he chose to dive into my medical history instead—something that should be part of my routine care, not billed separately. To add insult to injury, my husband was also charged just for a basic BP and weight check.
The final blow came at our baby’s two-week follow-up appointment, which was combined with my post-caesarean wound check. Our appointment was at 11:15 a.m., and we reached by 11:30 a.m. after traveling with a newborn (from Kilkenny to Waterford). We were refused care entirely. Despite explaining my condition—two weeks post c-section, with wound pain, discharge, and baby blues—we were turned away. We even offered to cancel my check-up and requested the GP at least see our baby or let us wait for an open slot, but were coldly denied.
The receptionist (black-haired woman) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She had no courtesy whatsoever—no greeting, no compassion. As soon as I introduced myself, she cut me off to say, “You’re late. The doctor won’t see you.” That was her first sentence—no empathy, no humanity.
This was my first baby, born after a high-risk pregnancy with lupus and gestational diabetes. Every consultation mattered to me. But the way we were treated was heartless and careless. Thankfully, we are now with another GP in a medical centre where the staff are ethical, professional, kind, and respectful—and we finally feel like we’re receiving the care every patient deserves.
Avoid this place if you want respectful, informed, and compassionate care—this is not the clinic for it.
