Had a bit of a frustrating experience with the reception here. I believe her name is Anastasia, she intially didnt check the paperwork and dismissed my concerns. Just after a couple of hours, she called me saying my forms were already done by doctor so I ended up being called back twice on a working day, which was quite inconvenient.
I do feel a bit more attention to detail and less dismissive nature at the front desk would really help avoid this kind of situation.
That said, I’m still associated with this centre because Dr. Saheera is genuinely excellent.
Waited 50 mins to be seen, when I asked the receptionist if the appointment is still going ahead she forgot she even checked me in and said it will be another few minutes I think her name was Jessica. Got called in to doctor Saheera and she said that she had an emergency appointment with someone and they had paid extra. Why would I of not gotten a message to say that my appointment could’ve been rescheduled instead of letting me sit there 50 minutes I don’t understand. Not to mention when I was sitting down she didn’t care about what I had to say and felt like she was almost trying to get me to leave as soon as possible. When I tried to ask questions regarding my options she was brushing over what I was saying and not being helpful at all this left me wondering why I even bothered booking an appointment in the first place.
I have just accidentally read the latest review of Dr.Luciana Pereira and I must say that I absolutely do not agree with it. She has been my doctor for a few month's now and I am very happy with her excellent care.
I have several chronic diseases and Dr.Luciana always provides helpful advice and appropriate medications. SHE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, GENEROUS, SELFLESS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, COMPASSIONATE, COMMUNICATIVE AND NICE! Always smiling with a very positive attitude to life and other people which is also very important and necessary.
The reception team are also very professional, helpful and warm welcome!
Actually the whole clinic looks very well managed.

I am deeply disappointed with the service at this clinic. I have been a patient here for the last 7 years, and while there are a few excellent doctors, my overall experience has been increasingly negative. I have hesitated to leave a review because I don’t want to impact those few who are truly dedicated to their patients. However, after my recent experience, I feel compelled to speak out.
I was running 10 minutes late to my appointment due to an unexpected situation with my child falling ill on the way. Despite my long-standing history with this clinic, the doctor refused to see us. What frustrates me most is that, over the years, I have consistently experienced delays of 15 to 40 minutes at this clinic for normal appointments, yet when the roles were reversed, there was no understanding or flexibility. In fact, the doctor called in the next patient just 5 minutes earlier after being informed by the receptionist that we were waiting outside.
This experience has left me questioning the priorities of this clinic. It feels as though the focus is more on procedure(money) and less on patient care. In a country where healthcare options are limited, it’s unfortunate that such attitudes persist. I’ve come to rely on Google more than this clinic for medical advice, which is disheartening.
I was surprised to read a negative comment about Dr. Luciana. She is an outstanding professional who truly cares about her patients. I have been her patient for several years and have never had any complaints. She takes the time to listen, asks the right questions, and always greets you with a smile and kind words. I highly recommend her—she is one of the best GPs at Ballyowen Medical Center.
The wait was a little annoying but understandable, they were very busy. I had Janice look after me for bloods today and she was so kind and incredibly gentle. Would recommend her for any blood tests.
Avoid at all costs!! If I could give zero stars I would because even one star is too much for this so called medical centre.
Waiting 20 minutes to get through on the phone only to be told that there are no GP appointments for the next 3 weeks.. 3 weeks to see a doctor god forbid you’d actually be sick!!
Then told to come down at 08:30 on the off chance I can get an on the day appointment however IF you manage to get an appointment you’ll be expected to come back down at 11:30? So 3 hours later?
Then IF you get an appointment you’ll be left sitting in the waiting area for what feels like forever until you’re finally seen.
They only care about money, cash or card is the only question that matters to them!!
I have been attending sessions with Dr. Luciana for the past few months. She has been an incredible support to me always available, going above and beyond, and consistently taking the time to listen and give excellent advice. I always leave feeling supported. She is a credit to the practice. Thank you.
