I’ve just started with Prague Integration, and so far, my experience has been excellent. I was matched with Simona, a counsellor with a background in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Italian speaker. From our very first discovery call, I could tell that she was well-prepared, empathetic, and deeply professional. I also really appreciated the flexibility with the payment schedule, which was tailored to my current needs. It made the whole process feel more accessible and human. So far, I feel like I’ve made the right choice, and I’m truly hopeful about what’s ahead. Highly recommended for anyone looking for professional, compassionate, and expat-friendly mental health support in Prague.

Source of lasting trauma and zero accountability I am writing this because I am still living with the damage caused by Prague Integration. Years ago, I sought help for body image issues and was paired with a counselor they advertised as an expert in the field. During our sessions, this professional told me I could not pursue romance because of my body. I have not recovered from this. I have not "unlearned" it. It remains a deep, active trauma that has fundamentally altered my life and my sense of self. ​When I reached out to the CEO, Amanda Mataija, to address this lasting harm, I was met with cold, corporate distancing. She dismissed the therapist’s damaging behavior by labeling her an "independent contractor" whose methods the company does not "direct or teach". Instead of acknowledging the gravity of a mental health professional shattering a client’s self-worth, she treated me like a new sales lead, offering a "free discovery session" with a different person. ​This organization hides behind legal loopholes to avoid responsibility for the people they profit from. In the Czech Republic, they provide "counseling"—an unregulated trade—while using clinical language to attract vulnerable people. Their own consent form even explicitly states they "do not accept responsibility for claims for damages". ​If you are looking for a place that will take responsibility for your care, or for an organization that understands the weight of the trust you place in them, do not come here. They are a middleman service with no ethical oversight, and the harm they cause is lasting.

Prague Integration has a team of wonderful, professional counselors and a warm, involved CEO. I’ve had therapists in the past whose advice felt transactional somehow, but my sessions here have given me the sense that the therapists are actually invested in me as an individual. You can’t put a price on feeling safe with the people with whom you’ve entrusted your mental well-being!
