Not a bad place for dental work. Staff is generally friendly. I usually go elsewhere but tried this place for the first time. Overall process was a little bit longer than other offices in the area that I've been to and this western dental location is more commercialized/has more moving parts.
I came in for a general cleaning/check up. I saw 3-4 different staff members (other offices are generally 1-2) who did different tasks for my office visit. 1st person took the X-rays (had a bit of trouble understanding them with language barrier. Also they missed one X-ray's so another technician helped do another X-ray scan), one Dentist did a filling, the Hygienist did the cleaning (cleaning came out OK compared to elsewhere that I've been), one office coordinator came in to cover what was covered by insurance just before (after X-rays) the filling and cleaning was done.
There was some wait time in getting the cleaning done after the X-rays were done. Some worry as well with equipment being missed for wipe down in between patient use. Arrived for a 2PM general cleaning appt, left about 4:20 PM.
Again not a bad place to check out if you're close. River Denistry and some other dental places off of Wilshire blvd at PIH are in the area and pretty good as well with a smaller team that has you in and out and is not as commercialized.
Betty and Mr.Rezk were so helpful and accommodating. They were very informative throughout the whole process and made sure to be advocates for my comfortability. They were the sweetest people and honestly the overall best. Great staff !!
Never. Ever. Go. Here. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!! They are NEVER on time. I have had to wait EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. FOR OVER AN HOUR(!!) to even be seen by a dentist, even though I always make appointments and show up on time for these appointments. They are a greedy shop that packs as many people in the waiting room as possible, but with absolutely ZERO regard to the patient experience. I have a terrible time every time I’m here. They butchered my tooth filling and had to remove the filling and re-do it. For their blatant lack of respect of customer time, and for their lack of dentist experience, please do yourself a favor and find another place to take your business. Unless you enjoy spending 2-3+ hours each time for just a simple annual cleaning & check up.
Staff is very friendly and I like my dentist, but scheduling is very bad. I don’t know exactly what system or organization they have for scheduling appointments, but I feel that they overbook patients. I definitely am not the only patient who had to wait hours just to be seen by a doctor. This is an issue that should be addressed as there are so many complaints about it in the reviews.
Terrible experience everytime I’ve gone. The wait time is ridiculous even with appointments. They schedule appointments still knowing they are short staffed and can’t handle the workload. Accepting appointments just to get money from insurance. Unacceptable. Staff is nice however, how they run things there is terrible!
Be aware this place gives you an appointment time but they will have you waiting over and hour and a half before being seen.
Get ready to waste your time here

As soon as you walk inside you get hit by a very strong smell of heavy duty cleaning supplies extremely nauseating 🤢

I would sooner trust this establishment with my 2012 Honda Civic than with my teeth. Oil change? Sure. A professional, humane, and remotely organized dental experience? Absolutely not. West Coast Dental on 6th Street operates with the energy of a chop shop that happens to have a dental chair in the back. The staff is overworked, and honestly I feel for them, but that sympathy evaporates the moment you realize appointments are forgotten, scheduling promises dissolve into thin air, and nobody here seems to have ever heard of a calendar. A written one. A digital one. A napkin with times scrawled on it. Anything. Your time means nothing here. Punctuality is a foreign concept. And if you enjoy the thrill of surprise charges appearing like jump scares on your bill, congratulations, you’ve found your spot.
I’ll say this: the front office staff is kind. Genuinely kind. But kindness alone does not a dental practice make, and a warm smile at the window cannot paper over the disorder living just behind it. Nothing about this experience communicates that they care about you as a patient. It says get in, get out, and figure out the rest yourself. You are a number. You are a time slot that may or may not be honored. You are, at best, an inconvenience to be processed. Never again. My teeth deserve better. So do yours. Severely unprepared joke of an establishment
I just came from here and they completely wasted my time for 2 hours. I went in for a broken filling and was told I needed a root canal, cleaning, and they recommended I get my wisdom tooth removed. They proceeded to say I needed to come back for the root canal almost a month later because the specialist was busy... I literally can't even eat right now and in intense pain and on the verge of tears. They didn't do even do the cleaning.. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF BOOKING ME WHEN I ALREADY SPECIFIED WHAT I NEEDED WHEN I BOOKED SAID APT!? My biggest pet peeve is people wasting my time and when businesses overbook. They took photos, had me sign some stuff. all useless if I can't even get the services I wanted for the apt. Will probably never come here again
