I had treatment at LVI in Garden City, New York, about 14 years ago. I originally had LASIK done, then later returned for a touch-up, and most recently I just completed PRK a week ago.
The staff at LVI are incredibly friendly, warm, welcoming, and professional. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel completely at home. There is never any pressure, and the entire experience feels comfortable and reassuring.
Dr. Shalom is wonderful. She is kind, thorough, and very friendly, and I always feel comfortable in her care.
I also want to recognize the amazing staff, especially Zakiya, who has been phenomenal from scheduling my treatment all the way through the end of the process and even beyond. Komal, Kayla, Sharlene, and Eythin are also excellent at what they do.
This is not just a doctor’s office, it truly feels like a family. They welcome you with open arms and make you feel as comfortable as possible from start to finish.
For anyone looking to have LASIK or PRK done, I highly recommend LVI. It is absolutely the place to go.

I was previously Astigmatism and the doctors said they have fixed even that for me. The staff is very helpful and kind. I went in for a consultation and I did the lasik the same day. I was skeptical about where to go get my lasik done for about one year now and after many researches and reviews I’ve found this place and it’s been a good experience for me.

I was so nervous about getting lasik done but after getting it done at lasik vision institute i’m so happy! they explained everything so well for me, and everything was done quickly and smoothly! the front staff are so welcoming and everyone who works there truly makes you feel like family! the procedure itself was very short and they tell you exactly what to expect and what to do to post op so you remain comfortable! they even gave me a tylenol PM after my procedure so by the time i got home was able to take a nap! a lot of my friends and family have gotten their lasik done with them so i knew the results were going to be promising, however the way they treat you and make you feel comfortable truly made me feel like i made the right choice!
I had LASIK done here last week and it has been life changing. All the staff were super helpful and explained the whole procedure so I knew what to expect. I know everyone’s experience is different but mine has been nothing but positive for LASIK Vision Institute Garden City. It’s been a week post-op and I can see like I’ve never seen before. The procedure was painless (a little pressure) but it was expected. I would recommend LVI to anyone looking into getting LASIK.
My experience with Lasik Vision Institute has been amazing from start to finish. I had my LASIK surgery done there last June, and after seeing how life-changing it was for me, my husband just had his procedure done this week as well. Both of our experiences were smooth, comfortable, and reassuring the entire time.
The staff and doctors were incredibly professional, patient, and informative. They explained every step of the process clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable and at ease before, during, and after the procedure. Knowing exactly what to expect helped take away any anxiety.
The surgery itself was quick and surprisingly comfortable, and the clarity afterward has been incredible. Waking up and being able to see clearly without glasses or contacts truly feels life-changing. The follow-up care was also excellent, and we always felt supported throughout recovery.
One thing we really appreciated is that they offer lifetime revisions for qualified candidates, which adds even more peace of mind and confidence in choosing them.

What was great from the beginning was the staff. The front desk/techs Charlene, Ethan, Kayla, Zakia were awesome, friendly, and just very helpful. The doctors were also great. Dr. Shalom was very nice and the surgeon Dr. Jackson was great too. He told me everything I was going to expect and the final outcome was perfect. I’m so glad I came here!
Great staff. The front is friendly and informative, guides you every step of the way. The doctor was fantastic she checked everything before and after the surgery and answered all my questions and was patient. The surgery went smoothly and painless. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
