The staff are so kind and accommodating. Very thorough in testing and answering questions and ensuring you get the best experience. The procedure was faster and easier than I would have anticipated. The recovery on day one was tough for first 8hrs, but very much worth it. As someone who has been wearing glasses since early childhood, it’s life changing to be able to actually see clearly when I wake up in the morning and open my eyes. Wild! Definitely recommend!
I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience at Lasik Vision Institute. I initially chose this location over TLC Laser Eye Center for convenience, as they are in the same medical group. However, the experience was downhill from the start.
On the day of my surgery, the surgeon I had consulted with was not the one on duty. The office felt like an assembly line, with patients being cycled through like a 'laundry service.' Dr. Jackson’s bedside manner was cold and dismissive; while I understand it was a busy day, he showed little regard for patient comfort.
Post-surgery, I began experiencing severe starbursts and glares, making night driving nearly impossible. Every time I’ve managed to get an appointment, the doctors dismiss my concerns and tell me to 'just wait.' I am now six months post-op with no improvement, and the office has made it extremely difficult to schedule a follow-up. It feels as though they prioritize profit over patient outcomes. I deeply regret choosing this facility.
I had an amazing experience at Kelly Vision! Dr. Kelly is absolutely fantastic — truly knowledgeable, caring, and professional. I now have 20/15 vision after my LASIK surgery back in June and I couldn’t be happier with my results.
Everyone in the office is wonderful, starting with the front desk staff — they are always welcoming and kind. Richard is fantastic and so nice at both the Garden City and Manhattan offices, which really makes a difference. Javier is an amazing Doctor he is attentive, helpful, and professional always so kind.
The entire team is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable every step of the way. I highly recommend Kelly Vision to anyone considering vision care or procedures. I’m beyond happy with my experience and results!
I had my laser eye correction on Thursday, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Everyone at the clinic was incredibly kind and attentive, answering all of my questions and addressing every concern I had. The procedure itself was unbelievably fast and completely painless—I barely had time to blink before it was over!
Afterward, I received a care package with eye drops, protective glasses, and clear instructions on recovery. The healing process was surprisingly quick—by the next morning, I woke up and could see everything perfectly. I was beyond happy!
A huge thank you to this clinic for their professionalism and care. This was truly the best decision of my life!
Consultation - went great and felt thorough. I was worried that this was a money grab, as I have heard of this in the past, but I can assure you it was not. These surgeons have to do this procedure a million times a day so they genuinely want to make sure there won’t be any issues, and they do multiple layers of testing as needed. Financing options were also solid.
Day of Surgery - the staff was awesome and they do their best to make you feel ready for surgery. The doctor working with the surgeon also double checks for potential abnormalities and makes sure that all questions are answered.
The actual surgery - The surgery was quick. I have 20/15 vision and the recovery is not bad at all. It’s actually an amazing feeling being able to see without contacts or glasses.
The reason why this gets 3/5 stars is simply because Dr. Jackson’s (the surgeons) bedside manner was terrible, at best. I do my best not to leave negative public reviews about doctors because they are humans with difficult jobs, but I experienced an unexpected difficulty with my eyes during the procedure and he handled it very poorly. His tone and communication throughout made for an insanely uncomfortable procedure and it left me a bit concerned about the quality of care up until the post operative appointment, and I’m a bit annoyed that I paid that much money to be treated like that.
That said, if you are at all worried about your eyes and you anticipate having difficulties with the procedure, just make sure you steer clear of Dr. Jackson.
Great experience, felt like I was in good hands the whole time. They made the whole process easy and the staff were really nice and friendly. Really great results too. I’ve had bad vision my whole life so it blows my mind every day how well I can just see on my own with no contacts or glasses!
Staff was amazingly kind and accommodating. The surgery, I did PRK, was probably not even 10 minutes total. This has changed my life, and the price was definitely worth it. My insurance gave me a discount so I ended up paying less than what I expected! My vision was around -12 in both eyes and i had astigmatism and a lazy eye. If you're someone with really poor vision like I was that cannot read anything unless its 4 inches in front of your face then this is the place to go!
My time at lasik plus has been nothing but the best , I’ve been treated so well along the way , MONSE went out her way to make the experience much better explaining everything with clarity and patience which I really appreciate. Highly recommend coming here for your checkup.
