I came here because I needed urgent care and couldn’t wait to see my PCP - but I sure wish I had just waited.
The exam rooms are dirty, staff wear ripped jeans instead of scrubs, and the receptionist is a weird robot that yells your personal details out loud enough for the whole waiting room to hear.
Also, in the exam room, the computer is up and unlocked with all patient info accessible… a major data risk. I can see the names of everyone else who’s here, why they are here, and what status their appointment is in. I was alone in the room for 30 min and if I were a bad actor, could easily have stolen patient info.
See for yourself in the photo (I did redact patient names for their safety)
TLDR: don’t come here. It’s the worst urgent care I’ve ever been to. The current rating must either be padded with fake reviews or from people who’ve never experienced proper medical care.
I’m not normally one to leave a review, but my experience here was so poor I feel as though I owe it to others to share the word; if you want thoughtful, comprehensive, timely care, do NOT come here.
In fact, my experience here was been so poor that I question their integrity as a medical institution and am not sure you can trust the “care” you receive here. The incompetence was staggering at every stage of the process.
My story starts as soon as I walked into the center and was greeted by an uncanny robot that insisted it could check me in faster than the front desk staff. Its loudspeaker blares questions and personal information at you in a waiting room full of people, and in the end it didn’t even successfully work for me, prompting me to check in with the real humans at the desk. No one wants to talk this creepy robot—hire more real people instead.
After all the troubles with checking me in were resolved, I had to wait in the waiting room for an hour past my appointment time until I was finally taken back to an exam room. The medical assistant who took my history and vitals was rushing through the process and missed basic steps. The blood oxygen sensor malfunctioned, but more alarmingly my temperature was never taken, two crucial measures needed in diagnosing potential illnesses. I was especially surprised by this considering one of my chief complaints was a fever. Instead, I saw the previous patient’s temperature written into my chart which could lead to misdiagnosis and a lack of proper medical information.
I was told the doctor would see me in 5 minutes. 45 minutes pass and I received absolutely 0 updates from anyone on the care team. I understand that it’s easy to fall behind, but the least the staff could do is to keep me informed instead of leaving me sitting sick and alone in the exam room wondering if I was forgotten about. At one point I left my room to get water from the water fountain only to discover it was broken, and heard another patient come out to inquire about the extreme lack of wait time.
Finally the doctor came in and performed the world’s most perfunctory exam. She barely asked about my symptoms, barely looked at back of my throat, and talked so fast I couldn’t even understand what she was saying. She seemed to not know what tests the medical assistant had already performed and did not thoroughly examine me before deciding to prescribe me antibiotics.
I’m writing this as I sit at my pharmacy still waiting for my script to come through. I called the facility to get an update on its transmission and was told it would be sent in 30 minutes. I returned 4 hours later and my pharmacy still hadn’t received anything from Nao Medical. I called AGAIN to inquire what the hold up was; my pharmacy closes in an hour and I need this medicine. I was promised it would be sent in 30 minutes to no avail. I called yet again and demanded to be connected directly to the clinic, as I had 15 minutes until my pharmacy would close. It took 6.5 hours and three phone calls to get a simple prescription sent.
At the end of the day I don’t trust that this place can perform even basic medical diagnosis and procedures in a timely manner. The inability to communicate with patients and complete lack of care and comprehensiveness when being seen has totally eroded my trust in this institution. Don’t waste your time going here. The ER would likely be a better experience than Nao Medical.
By far the worst experience I've had at an urgent care. Over 24 hours later they've sent the wrong prescription three times to my pharmacy. I've been on the phone with them every hour and cannot get the situation rectified for my time-sensitive medication. Employees at the clinic were lovely and everyone I've spoken to at the call center is polite and sympathetic but the system is chaotic and not ideal, and there is no way to directly reach the clinic or the provider I saw on the phone. Go anywhere but here.
Place was good. D.o.t. physical. Was about to get mad at first they called a guy that came after me first, BUT like 3 minutes later they called me barely enough time to get mad... Staff not overly friendly ( which is a plus ) but professional and ACCURATE. Big plus. . Rather I professional job then a polite screw up ...5 stars
I feel sorry leaving this review after so many years of going to this location (maybe ten?) Everyone that works there is very nice, but the place is a mess, completely disorganized, which I’m used to at this point, but after receiving a wrong diagnosis and being put on antibiotics for a week that weren’t needed, I am extremely upset and will never return and am writing this so others don’t go here and suffer the same experiences. When I first went the doctor diagnosed me with something I didn’t come in with symptoms for and when I went in today to follow up and make sure the infection was gone, I was told I never had the infection and she had put me on antibiotics as a “preventative”. Why would a doctor say you had an infection just to put you on antibiotics for something you didn’t have symptoms for? I’m left so confused and upset that my body went through an unnecessary round of antibiotics and that I waited a total of four hours over these two visits to be seen and treated. I was also told today that my insurance was inactive which was false and I had to put my insurance on the phone to confirm. The next person on line also had the same issue, but instead of thinking it was an issue with their system, they refused that person to be seen.
Walked in and was told I'd be seen immediately. Took over an hour for the practitioner to come into the patient room.
Afterward, I was scheduled for a follow up over Zoom - three times they did not call at the scheduled times. My radiologist faxed them my results twice and both times Nao Medical had a hard time receiving them.
The people in there seem kind but something is definitely not operating correctly. I spent about 4 hours between visits and phone calls for a very routine visit.
I don’t normally leave reviews but had such a horrible time here. You will have wait 2 hours from the time you came in for your appointment. DO NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AROUND LUNCH!!! THEY WILL MAKE YOU WAIT TWO HOURS! They scheduled me and told me they had availability at 1:30pm, knowing I would have to wait until the doctor finished his lunch. Why would they schedule me at that time knowing I would wait for HOURS? Unacceptable. Go somewhere else.
