I had my wisdom teeth removed here and, as a very anxious adult, I can honestly say the experience was far better than I expected. The entire team was incredibly understanding and supportive from start to finish.
Dr. Calat made me feel comfortable right away, taking the time to explain everything and answer all my questions without rushing me. I chose to have the procedure done under sedation, and it made a huge difference—I felt and remembered nothing which is great :)
My recovery has been better than I anticipated.
If you’re nervous about dental surgery, especially wisdom teeth removal, I highly recommend this office. They truly know how to take care of anxious patients.
I went to Dr. Calat for two wisdom teeth extractions and was really pleased with my experience. The procedure was as painless as possible and Dr. Calat walked me through every step of the way. He answered all of my questions and explained everything clearly. Above all, I loved his calm demeanor and the warm and welcoming nature of his entire staff. Compassion and undivided attention go a very long way, especially when it comes to preparing to undergo scary procedures, and I was so grateful to have been treated with both so generously throughout my visit. I would happily bring any of my loved ones to him if they needed it because I know they’d be in good hands.
I’ve always had a lot of anxiety and trauma when it comes to going to the dentist, so I was extremely nervous when I arrived. On top of that, because of my cancer history, I’m supposed to take medication before certain dental procedures, and he made sure that was taken seriously and included in my care.
Even though I didn’t necessarily want to lose a tooth, the dentist was so kind, calm, and reassuring throughout the entire process. He checked in with me often, made sure I wasn’t in pain, and kept encouraging me by letting me know I was doing great, and that I was okay. His communication really helped me feel comfortable and at ease, even when I felt close to having a panic attack.
I’m now almost 24 hours after my procedure and I’m not nearly as uncomfortable as I expected to be. I’m really thankful I went and didn’t keep delaying my dental care. I truly appreciate how patient, gentle, thorough, and reassuring he was.
Had four wisdom teeth extracted yesterday at this practice. The process was quick and easy! I had to move to the Manhattan location because the Hoboken location was out of network for my insurance. I was very nervous because I have a lot of anxiety around dental work and surgery in general, and it was my first time in that office. But Dr. Calat was very kind and patient with me, and answered every question I had.
I chose to use laughing gas during the procedure, and I’m very glad I did! It helped with the anxiety a lot, as well did Dr. Calat calmly talking me through their process. The procedure was very quick, maybe 30-45 mins, and all of the staff I interacted with was very nice. I feel comforted to know that I can easily contact them through text or call if I have any questions or issues.
Dr. Chalat, the dentist, performed an excellent job in extracting my tooth. Despite my aversion to dental visits, he managed to calm my nerves and assure me that everything would be fine. His professionalism and friendliness were evident throughout the procedure. He took the time to converse with me, considering my deafness. Dr. Chalat treats me with utmost respect. The receptionist is equally great; they warmly welcome me and accommodate my communication needs. If you’re looking for a reliable dentist to extract your tooth, Dr. Chalat’s clinic is highly recommended. It’s the best place to visit for such a procedure.
I want to take the time to thank this practice for their patience and excellent customer service, Lismary was a wonderful help and very personal and welcoming. I found this practice googling the best oral surgeons in the city because I’ve been very afraid of getting my wisdom tooth pulled. Mid-Manhattan Oral surgery is by far the best experience I’ve ever had, removing 3 wisdom teeth in one shot was not my plan but I was so comfortable with Dr Calat, that I got it out the way, same day with no complications. The absolute best oral surgeon whom is so positive and very informative. I wouldn’t think twice to recommend them. Thank you guys for all your hard work it’s been a blessing
Dr. Calet and all the staff are excellent. Professional, kind and knowledgeable. I recently had an emergency with a fractured tooth. Support staff got me in to see the doctor immediately. The doctor and all staff put me at ease as soon as you walk in the door. Doctor Calet and the assistant took care of me very well. Everything was explained to me. They eased my fears and my expierence was excellent. I am very appreciative and so grateful to the Doctor and everyone at the office.
There's a reason the reviews are so high. They actually care about you and your procedure. Dr Paul Calat spent a good amount of time walking me through what was going to happen, and got my thoughts on it. He was really kind and relatable throughout the process. I usually am sensitive to wisdom teeth extractions, but nope, this felt so safe and easy. This place deserves 5 stars.
