UPDATE: After several hours on the phone with both the insurance companies and the billing department which is not done in house with Choices Women’s Facility and instead handled by an external billing company, there is now clarification that my insurance was never billed properly, secondary insurance was never considered, and this is according to their billing contractor considered to be the CHOICES facilities error. No apologies, just a 30 day wait time was advised to receive my almost $200 back, yall should be ashamed, ill be contacting The State Attorney generals office, am on hold with corporate for Cigna Insurance to lodge an internal complaint, and the New York State Finance department fraud division, for what appears to be avoidable errors by several parties ** The doctor had excellent bedside manner, and was very helpful.
I had a morning appointment, i waited over 3 hours to see a provider. So be prepared to spend an entire day here.
The front desk staff associate “Ang” over charged me according to my insurance. They don’t have a working phone number for their billing department, I’ve been emailing and calling for close to two weeks only to receive a brand new phone number i haven’t previously been given. (800#) previously i was calling their reg # and hitting 1 for English opt 3 for billing.
This facility is in network with both my primary and secondary insurance and response was “i don’t bill secondary” when i asked for an itemized bill to submit myself she advised she also “don’t have that.” And she told me to use my EOB in place of an itemized bill which is not possible, itemized bills have CPT codes for specific services, EOB does not.
I’ve also emailed the email i was given for their billing department with a request for an itemized bill which they are by law obligated to provide, they have not done that. It’s been 5 days. I have also not gotten a phone call back despite leaving 2 msgs. 1 msg left on 7/8 and the other on 7/10
The staff here is super nice, supportive and explained everything thoroughly. The process is a little long but once the initial steps are completed , everything else runs pretty smoothly. My overall experience was great, as my first time I was made feel very comfortable.
I scheduled the earliest appointment available. As a new patient, I understand that the intake and processing can take some time, so I wouldn’t say I was in and out—but that’s to be expected. Patience is key, and overall the process went very smoothly.
When I arrived to check in, the woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. As someone who is severely visually impaired, I truly appreciated that she took the time to assist me with completing my paperwork. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot.
From there, everything was smooth sailing. I didn’t feel nervous or anxious at all. In fact, the nurses’ personalities kept me entertained and laughing the entire time. You don’t even get a chance to feel overwhelmed because they create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I was in a really bad mood today. But the whole experience was excellent. The service was very attentive, and I especially want to thank the doctor who spoke Mandarin—thank you so much! He was very patient and kept comforting me. At the end, worried about my speech, he even came to remind me about my medication and other precautions, and then saw me off. All the doctors and nurses there were wonderful! Thank you so much!
I went in for a standard yearly exam at 8am. They sent me to give a sample and do intake with a nurse. I saw the doctor but there was a question that I had to go back to the front desk to clarify. I wait some time then I see the doctor again, she sends me to get blood drawn. After the blood draw they said the visit was over and I clarified that the doctor never examined me. I go back to the waiting area. The Doctor gets me at 10:30 and keeps telling me about tests and labs. I remind her that I’m there for a yearly exam and she keeps talking about tests. I then have to explain what a yearly exam consists of. The actual exam takes her 5 minutes.
The only positive is that the staff is polite and the location is convenient to get to.
A really nice place, really clean and organized. This is my second time going there,so far so good. The Dr.(sadly I forgot her name) that has treated me was really nice and I felt comfortable talking to her she answered all my questions and I genuinely felt like she was listening to everything I had to say. I felt heard and it felt good she wasn’t rushing me whatsoever and I love that. The only thing is you have to wait for hours so prepare in advanced give yourself time at least 3-4 hrs for them to see you. Don’t get upset bc of the waiting time because the time that everyone likes to get when talking to the dr everyone is having it so have that in mind.
I had arrived here to receive the medical abortion pill. My appointment was 9:30am and I arrived at 9:08 am in the morning. Let me start off by saying that the front of the entrance is filled with protestors, people with signs. I was dropped and it was and overwhelming experience. Despite them having escorts I did not feel comfortable nor did I feel safe. First the start out by making you wait outside then once you are there you are given a number. You may give them a government ID or which ever you have. Out of pocket it will 600.00. The receptionist who checks you in her name was Carmen Torres was a lovely lady. Very kind and her energy was nice. However as you moved up floors the strife towards many of the staff was beyond disgusting. I had a tech complete my sonogram. Every time I asked about the side effects and the fertility she said asked a doctor. I then was instructed to do blood work and was stabbed 5 times just to get blood. Didn’t not work. I was then instructed to go upstairs to get blood drawn then followed by waiting. Overall the whole thing took 6 hours in total to get one pill in the clinics along with four for 24 hours. I have to say that nobody on the staff is an actual doctor most of them are medical assistant or a nurse practitioner. This place probably had a lot of potential at one time, but lacks as over booking; rude staff. I am happy I got my service but at the same time the whole day was shot. Best of luck to all you ladies out there. Tip if going have someone drop you off so you don’t pay for parking, pack a snack, bring a book or something to entertain yourself. Your choice your right!
Have been going to this clinic for my regular checkup, few years now, friendly staff and Doctors! Depends on the day you may have a long wait because it's packed! I love that they go in details and explain everything before and after, especially when having your pap done.walk in are always welcome and appointments wait time is not very long!! Go check them out for fast and efficient service!
