When I went in November, I got seen very quickly. The staff is very Customer Service oriented very friendly and easy to talk to -direct and straight to the reason that you’re there so no fuss however second time I went I had an appointment for 2 PM. I didn’t get seen until 3:20 PM that sucked, but the overall experience was fine since the provider was very helpful and friendly along with the nurse practitioner. However, I would say their online system needs updating because there was a lot of people waiting, but there was also a lot of appointments available so that didn’t match because I don’t even think they were even taking in walk-ins anymore. But overall easy to use.
Two things. First of all, I never post reviews and secondly, I hate going to urgent care. But today changed all that. I went to Carbon health urgent care in Echo Park for a scratched cornea. I was in so much pain, I just wanted to go back home to bed. They were so incredibly kind and supportive and the medical staff was very knowledgeable and efficient. All four people working there were amazingly kind and supplétive women. Logan the PA was exceptional and Stephanie, Même, and Liz were all so helpful and so kind. I walked out of there feeling so much better about my health and about humanity in general. I recommend them completely.
Carbon Health urgent care — extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.
We initially came in for severe ear pain, fever, and visible swelling. During the visit, we were told that “adults don’t get ear infections,” which was both dismissive and concerning given the symptoms being presented. The evaluation overall felt rushed and incomplete, and our concerns were not taken seriously.
After the visit, symptoms worsened, including increased pain and a visible lesion. Only after we called to report this did the provider send over a prescription — which should have been addressed during the original visit.
The situation then became even more frustrating due to poor follow-through. We requested a pharmacy change and were told it would be resent within 30 minutes. After 2 hours, nothing had been sent. When we called back, we were transferred between multiple staff members without explanation, which felt disorganized and unprofessional.
When prescriptions were finally resent, only Debrox was sent — not the ofloxacin that was discussed. After calling yet again, we were told a different provider would not send the ofloxacin without a reassessment and that we would be charged another $160 for a new visit.
This experience reflects serious issues with both clinical judgment and administrative coordination. Patients should not have to repeatedly call, advocate, and pay additional fees just to receive appropriate care. This raises concerns about patient safety and continuity of care.
Also, three weeks later my card on file gets charged an extra $100+ without my consent? We will not be returning and cannot recommend this location based on our experience.
I realized I had a tattoo infection developing, and Carbon Health had openings throughout the next day, so I booked an appointment (my first time going to urgent care). The entire experience was incredibly smooth.
My appointment was at 12:15, but I arrived at 12:00. The receptionist welcomed me right away, got me checked in quickly, and even helped fill out my information. I was in an exam room by 12:10 and out the door by 12:20.
Every staff member I interacted with was kind, warm, and genuinely helpful. The doctor took the time to clearly explain what was going on, what likely caused the infection, and how we were going to treat it.
It might sound strange to say, but I actually enjoyed my experience at an urgent care facility. Shout out to Carbon Health!! 10/10 would recommend.

The staff from friendly receptionists to physicians assistants and physicians are very top notch. Easy to make an appointment on line and to follow up on the Carbon health app.
i will always recommend carbon health !! i found them by chance a couple years ago when i needed to go to UC and all the ones around me had LONG wait times , i stumbled across Carbon Health and was seen so quick and had a great experience. this location was no different !! I barely had to wait and the visit was quick and informative. The prices for self-pay are very reasonable and super transparent so you know what you’ll be paying for before you actually do which i love. love carbon health!
As always, my mom and I had an excellent experience at Carbon. We booked the appointment easily, were treated very kindly and seen quickly. Everyone was very thorough and she received excellent care.
