This Adventist Health center Emergency room in Montebello is far better than the one in Boyle Heights. The service here the doctors and the nurses were amazing. They attended to me quickly and efficient. They helped me with everything I needed. I came in with an allergic asthma attack and was in a bed within minutes getting all the treatment needed. The doctor went over everything with me my history what I was exposed to and tried to figure out what happened. They gave me very good treatments medication and information needed. They sent me home feeling safe and better.
I want to commend Dr. Vu, RN Richard, and the X-ray techs and other nurses who aided in my mother’s care.
It’s a difficult and scary endeavor to come into the ER, but staff here was incredibly kind, attentive and was not dismissive.
We hardly had to wait at all in the waiting room, we were provided a room and subsequently admitted and I’m very pleased with how staff treated my mom and myself and how they took time to listen to our concerns and not dismiss us no matter how slight the concern seemed.
I would come here again for her care and for my own should I need it.
The staff were amazing! I’ve never been taken care as well and was treated either respect. Especially in the emergency room and afterwards in my room. The nurses were so kind and professional. I don’t like hospitals but was amazed at their care. Thank you.
I hope someone in a higher position at the hospital sees this review and speaks with John Lin about how he talks to patients. No patient, whether young or old, should be spoken to that way.
My 7-year-old son was in pain and scared when we came to the ER. John Lin stood in front of my child and saild something along the lines of " hes ok it not look like he going to die " .That is completely unacceptable and very unprofessional.
Patients come to the emergency room because they are worried about their health and need care and compassion. If someone is unhappy with their job, they should not take it out on patients, especially children.
What made me the saddest was that after we left, my 7-year-old asked me, “Why did he say die?” No child should have to hear something like that from a healthcare worker. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that no other family has a similar experience
Signing in the hospital was easy.the man at the desk was friendly and helpful.the young lady in her office,was also friendly and helpful! All the nurses were very good at what they do.they were kind and sympathetic very nurturing and very courteous! The Doctor's were very informative! and good at what they do.all this is very encouraging and needed, when you are going to have surgery,I would recommend this hospital to anyone.keep up the good work!!👍
The intake women behind the windows, it would be great if they acknowledged your presence and didn't act like you were in the way. It took another patient asking if I was just standing by the window for no reason for her to acknowledge me. I was in line and was just ignored until then.
I am always blown away by the care and consideration provided by the staff once you get to the back rooms. They provide excellent care and I always leave feeling better. Thank you back of the house staff!!!
If the intake could just be a little more welcoming, this place would be the best hands down.
The Emergency Physician ( Dr. Duyhien Nguyen) that attended my case was horrible. He seemed annoyed and was impatient. He did not do any type of exam on me and wanted to discharge me when my pain and muscle spasms were still 10/10 and I could not even sit up, never mind ambulate. His bedside manner was absolutely deplorable. No compassion. No empathy. He barely even acknowledged my prior imaging when presented for historical context but he did give me the alternative to get admitted once I pushed back on the discharge. Upon admission, the next attending/ hospitalist (Dr. Joon Suh) was not much better. He asked the nurse to print my MRI results and discharged me with a request to follow up with a spine surgeon. However he never bothered to come back to see me or even try to explain the results personally with me. I had good empathetic nurses and PT ( Arthur) and OT (Chelsea) were wonderful. I will avoid coming back to this hospital if I can. Seems to have gone down dramatically from when it was operated as Beverly Hospital. I noticed many of their rooms were empty too.
As soon as I arrived to the ER they took me in did all the testing necessary was admitted and had my surgery all staff were good and helpful specially Paolo one of the nurses
