How can I start off? I had a wonderful experience at Risas Dental! Erika was super friendly and welcoming. From the moment I arrived, her calm and welcoming presence put me at ease. Every step of the visit guider with patience and care, turning a routine appointment into a moment of comfort and reassurance. She listened to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and treated me at with genuine kindness. What could have been a routine visit felt moment of true attention and care. I really appreciate her professionalism and care; I left smiling brighter than when I came in, truly a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!
I absolutely love this office! After 2 appointments with Dr. Tapia, I highly recommend Risas Dental!!! From the smiling and kind welcome you get on arrival, to the outstanding care from the staff, you’ll not find any better care. I was a walkin today, and I was in, and out in record time. Last. I must thank Dr. Tapia for his excellent care. He was so sweet, and very knowledgeable..and needless to say I won’t be going to any other office, as he repaired my tooth in record time.
So I would give the front office staff, assistants Josie, and Thalia platinum stars. And Dr.Tapia as “Best Dentist” in the Valley.

I had a dental procedure with Dr. Tapia and his assistant Josie, and it went way better than I expected! From the moment I arrived, they both made me feel completely at ease — my anxiety melted away thanks to their calm, professional approach. The entire procedure was seamless, and their customer service was outstanding every step of the way. Highly recommend Risas to anyone looking for a skilled, caring, and genuinely friendly dental team!
My experience was amazing was greeted and helped by Monica, I had came from another location which they wasn’t helpful at all. Monica was kind and knowledgeable regarding codes for my type of insurance she had great customer service was able to set up appt next day. The Asst. Kay and Dr.kline was amazing very kind and caring . Even though Dr Kline was busy only Dr in that day, I was his last patient he didn’t try rush was careful and did a great job I’m pleased and appreciate the all around great service at this location.
I love Risas Dental and Braces with prices going up everywhere resist dental prices stay the same and it’s perfect for low income families to afford braces for your kids. Go to the Tempe location the staff are so nice fast paced and the office is always clean they have five stars I totally recommend.

Dr. Nelson is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense. His assistant, Monse, was super nice and helpful throughout my visit. They make a great team and really put you at ease.
I was supposed to see the orthodontist after my cleaning for a braces/Invisalign exam, but we both forgot. I called afterward, and they immediately scheduled me a new appointment at no charge. That kind of service is rare and really appreciated.
The office is affordable, honest, and focused on helping patients. It’s absolutely worth it, and I’m grateful I found a place that makes dental care feel this comfortable.
I have had some terrible experiences with different dentist. I have crazy high anxiety, but when I had a cleaning and filling with Dr. Skaalen it was an amazing experience. He is very gentle and realizing I was extremely nervous talked me through the whole process. I will not see any other dentist!
