I have been to this particular well now clinic on South State Street multiple times for my children. Everyone is always professional and friendly. They are expedient and efficient with their work as well as thorough with their examinations and explanations. Lillie at the front desk is always warm and friendly. Aman (PCT) and Michael (provider) didn’t make us wait at all. I would absolutely recommend them for both adults and children.
I recently visited Wellnow Urgent Care during my visit to Chicago. Their check-in lady is very patient and helpful. At beginning I thought my DE insurance won’t be accepted here. But Lillie is very helpful to get it approved. Dr. Michael is also extremely professional and helpful not only gave me treatment timely but also advised with medication picking up information. I seldom have such amazing experience with Urgent care doctor. Nicole is very attentive to my symptoms and gave me tests very fast. What an awesome healthcare team. Thanks you all!!
My review is because of one specific PA and does not represent the nurses at the front who are accomodating and knew how to handle the PA's mistakes.
I met with Jacob Luka and he failed to do any exams of the issues I came to the appointment. I came with complaints of a persistent sinus infection and an irritated eye. He completely forgot to check my sinuses and I literally had to remind him as he was leaving the room. Then he insisted that the only thing he could do for my swollen eye, was recommend saline rinses. Mind you, I told him it hurts to blink and look around and it was quickly getting worse. After leaving the room and coming back 3 times he eventually agreed to look at my ears and throat and give me a second round of antibiotics.
He was extremely dismissive, and kept talking to my friend and not me, the patient. He was extremely shifty and timid which gave me no confidence in his assessment of my condition. I don't know if it was because I am a woman or that I am young or if he is just that dismissive to everyone.
He then proceeded to submit my medicines to my pharmacy in a dosage that is so uncommon that the pharmacist had to call the urgent care back to get them to change it (they did not pick up and I had to go back and get them in person to fix the prescription).
The experience from start to finish was fast and friendly. It can be difficult to get over the fatigue brought on by insurance or the embarrassment of seeking medical attention but everyone at the State St Physicians Immediate Care were very helpful, receptive, and respectful.
Very kind and thorough. First time there. It wasn't a long wait. Receptionist was very helpful and nice to us. I forgot my insurance card and she walked me through what I needed to do. The doctor was wonderful. The nurse kind and thorough. I am glad I went there.
Made an appointment for 830am. Went in and checked in on time. And they took me into a room within minutes. Someone came in to take my temp and run some tests. And about 20-25 minutes later, doc came in. In and out within half an hour.
They do also validate!
Crashed my e-bike while on vacation in Chicago. Dr. Michael checked me over, ordered x-rays, braced my knee & comforted my bruised ego. Less than 45 mins & I felt confident to continue my vacation.
From the friendly lady at reception, the MA & Dr. Michael, it was a great office.
I'm sure everything is chill if you got insurance, but if you feel a bit suspicious they're asking you "are you sure youre gonna make good on your balance?" like they about to charge you with some hidden stuff that they're not going to tell you about? Yes, 100% yes be suspicious. Even if you go up front and ask them that the up front charges are the only charges there will be, nope, there's gonna be some bs you'll have to fight with your bank. If you try to ask about the charges on the phone, an indian dude will tell you hes sending you to collections, then charge your credit card anyway without authorization. lol.
