If I could give it a negative review I definitely would. This hospital needs to be shutdown and built from the ground up. The care patients should receive is not at the top of the list. Its apparent it not about the stability, care, or betterment of the patient. I've experienced lack of communication, lack of follow-up, one group does not communicate with another. Being told one thing, now they tell another story because they don't want to be held liable. This hospital needs an investigation. It's truly a disappointment and a disservice to the patients and their families. The lack of care is deplorable. Blood stained ceiling tiles, no tray to sit food on, call bell not properly working. How can care and safety be a priority when simple things are not functioning properly. Not even proper ventilation. This is a shame. As a family member, I'm sickened by what's happening. *Thank God for the few nurses that are actually there and care for the patients with compassion. You are very appreciated.

The Medical team and the Postpartum floor is amazing so baby friendly. I have heard rumors that it’s not the best but my experience as a Doula for 10 years coming to work with Brookdale medical team Labor & Delivory and Postpartum is the best. Thank you for helping me and helping my moms to support themselves and us🧸🙏🏽💗

I have my Dear sister in Jesus Christ and friend at Brookdale hospital right now. I have been witnessed how much the doctors and staffs are caring for her. They are doing their best after her head surgery from a very bad stroke..I thank God for all of them including my dear Sister in Jesus Christ and friend. Keep doing the good work for, you will be REWARDED at the right time and, your work will be speaking on your behalf.😊🙋👍👏🙏💯❤️💌

I want to give a sincere shout-out to the ICU unit on the fifth floor — the nurses and doctors there were truly amazing. Their care, compassion, and professionalism during such a difficult time did not go unnoticed, and my family is very grateful. However, I also need to raise some serious concerns. When my family member was moved to the 10th floor, I was honestly in disbelief at the condition of the unit. There was a noticeable odor, and overall it felt like the area is in need of renovation and better upkeep. Additionally, the cleanliness of the family lounge on the fifth floor has been very disappointing. I’ve been there for seven consecutive days, and on at least three of those days, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The same crumbs and sticky tables remained untouched and were never cleaned. When I brought this to a housekeeper staff attention and asked if the area could be cleaned, I was met with an attitude and told to speak to the charge nurse, which was discouraging and unprofessional. I believe these concerns deserve attention, as they directly impact patients and families during already stressful times.

If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would. Look at what I had to be faced with, on top of that ever since I got here the staff was very out of it. I’m aware that they are understaffed but that still don’t excuse the unprofessionalism and rudeness. The entire night it seems like only one doctor was expected to attend all the patients in the ER. If there were more you could’ve fooled me. As far as the nurses are concerned the one assigned to me was pretty good. Like he’s been doing his job for years because I never felt the needle when he put my IV in. And he did it on the first shot, I’m not the type of person that is an easy stick. So kudos to my ER nurse. On the other hand, This hospital needs a reset button regarding staff, equipment, and overall facilities. ( side note they do have the best ICU team in the state of NY.

THEY WILL LET YOU DIE . I absolutely do not recommend this place , it is even worst than they said it is . If you have cancer , they are not fit to care for you . They are neglectful, overcrowded and lazy . They constantly overlook patients . They will miss steps and necessary procedures and not be held accountable. They are not managed or supervised, they are sort of freelancing on their tasks and responsibilities. DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS . They will kill you and move on because they are systematically protected . They have surveillance that they never review even if you died .BEWARE , they are a level below amateurs .

This is the worst hospital in New York . I came in due to my right leg experiencing sharp pain as I walked on march,13th,26 (7pm-9pm) . I’m 24 weeks pregnant and they take me to the front of the hospital and pull a curtain. Some random guy came in as I’m getting examined while my pants were down . They start do an ekg, and dbt to check for blood clots . There was no diagnosis made for my leg. They sent me to labor and delivery to check on my baby. Knowing that I can’t walk properly asked me to get on the bed without assistance. The midwife Adrianna made a joke “she can’t walk well she is going to have to get up anyway “. From there Adrianna proceeded to do a vaginal exam to check my cervix . I was concerned about my baby and complied . She proceeded to roughly shoved her finger inside of me and I was in visible pain and she proceeded to continue through that even though my legs were closing. I’ve had this done at my obgyn and they are gentle, make sure you are comfortable, and not in pain. I came in there with leg pain now I left with vagina pain and discomfort. I’m going to get checked out by my obgyn to make sure I’m okay . If anything is wrong I’m suing this hospital for malpractice. All the nurses and doctors there are a joke. They are unprofessional, and need to be fired . The conversations they have there shouldn’t be taking place in a hospital. The care they provide is rushed and unsafe . If you are pregnant , or need actually help. Please go to any other hospital , this place needs to be sued for malpractice and shut down.

I had a very good experience at Brookdale Emergency Department today. I was in severe pain, and from registration to treatment, the staff was kind, professional, and attentive. The triage nurse was patient and understanding, and the attending doctors were excellent. My nerve block procedure went smoothly, and I had immediate relief afterward. Very thankful for the care I received.
